"The Ruins of Beatles Ashram"- Visiting any ruins moves me immensely, it feels like the place is still alive with the glory of its past, and yet all it can show for it today, are shattered and scattered remains of the structure that once stood there once. But isn't the structure just a facade? No building will ever stand tall forever, just like no person will ever live forever ! We are faced with the impermanence of life everyday, in the smallest of things, and yet we cling.. we cling fiercely to these objects that we think define us and our lives.. when these very objects will disappear any moment ! History is testimony to the fact that even the largest, strongest of dynasties crumble and turn to dust, philosophies, religions, words.. everything disappears! The one thing that remains.. and is repeated is this cycle.. of birth->glory->annihilation->rebirth ! So stop clinging, stop wrapping yourself in your shiny things and small world.. love more, experience more, laugh more.. say the words you want to say.. don't cower.. don't fear!
These ruins are located in Rishikesh, where the Beatles stayed and practiced Transcendental Meditation, and created some of their best work! Now it is just a ruin, forgotten and ignored.

Highfields Park is a hidden gem known to Nottingham locals for the beautiful view as you slowly drift across the lake on a rowing boat. 🚣
This 121-acre park is home to magnificent trees, exotic plants and water features. There’s plenty to keep you entertained here including bowling, croquet and putting. And then find a perfect spot for a relaxing picnic.

Today I'm hopping a plane back to Sydney for a short stopover before my onward journey to the States. I'm so sad this adventure is almost over, but I couldn't leave Bali without throwing the biggest shoutout to @havecompasswilltravel, my travel companion for the last amazing month! My photo and yoga buddy, fellow digital nomad and sunrise catcher, medicine-picker-upper, personal motorbike driver, tour guide, accidental couple's massage partner, constant inspirer of my own travel dreams and just generally the most fantastic friend I could ask for - thanks for enabling my kombucha addiction and making this trip unforgettable!
Awoke to news this morning that Turkey and Greece suffered a 6.7 magnitude earthquake. Kathryn and I were in Kos back in May. Lovely place and beautiful people. Sending prayers #travel#greece#earthquake

When I think about how I feel at this moment when it comes to my life, all I can think of is "Trapped". I feel suffocated by routine & the idea of "working for someone else". I have the type of mind that's curious, I want to see things, experience more, learn new cultures...not work 7-3pm 80+ hrs in a pay period. So many events have led up to my decision to follow my heart & travel...By the end of the year I will kissing my routine life goodbye, & welcoming a life full of unopened doors, hidden twist and turns with open arms...📍Indonesia is first on my list. #DiaryOfHerPassport 🌎
The true beauty of this memorial is not in the grandiosity of the structures present but in the underlying message the memorial stands for. Inside the museum, this was engraved on the wall: “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.” - Virgil. Surrounding it was an art installation of tiles by Finch representing the color of the sky on that day. 2,893 accounts in total, not one similar depiction. Perhaps we can all learn from this. While there’s beauty in individual memories, those memories can only carry weight when they are threaded together by a collective message. We can only hope that the collective message of 9/11 Memorial is this: love trumps hate, compassion trumps cruelty, community trumps factions, peace trumps terror. #911Memorial#NewYorkCity
