Okay ready to go back to Alberta. The amount of caterpillars that have crawled up my legs unbeknownst to me, the blood sucking black flies that nibbled up my ribs, my dogs & my husband, the highway accidents that set us a day behind, & the gas prices (do I sound like a princess yet?) are cringe worthy. Had to skip visiting & Niagra falls but the good thing is theres an Ocean waiting somewhere for us 😂

I'll repost what mommy posted a few weeks ago about bringing me with her from Brazil to Italy:
"lots of people ask me how I managed to bring rubens with us on this life changing journey. I confess it wasn't easy and not cheap, but having him here with us is priceless, as our whole routine is built around his needs, he's not a human child, but he's still 100% dependent.
First of all, he's a bulldog, and not every flight company carries bulldogs as they are brachycephalic - short nosed. So we did a research and found out that @lufthansa was the most reliable company that would take him with all the care in the world. It's creepy to read stories where flight companies literally treat our pets like common luggage 😖
Rubens weights 13kg so he couldn't come with us in the cabin. We first drove from Brasilia to Sao Paulo (again, the only company that would take him in this route was @latamairlines in their cargo airplanes, and that would cost a fortune). When we arrived in Guarulhos airport I was lucky I could talk to the commandant of the flight prior to Rubens' dispatch, and I could make sure he would control the temperature downstairs so he wouldn't feel too cold or too hot, the ideal temperature is 22°C. I had my heart on my hands during the whole flight to Munich, and as we arrived I ran to the baggage claim place and saw his box from far away. He was standing there, very quiet and calm and when he saw me he was all happiness ❤ I didn't give him anything to sleep or to be calm, vet recommendations. We had to do a LOT of paper work in Brazil but strangely no one asked for anything in Germany... After that, 18 more hours on a train to arrive in Bologna. Rubens was a gentleman all the way, poor thing. ."
