This trip to Japan will be my first and I'm very aware that foreigners often commit social gaffes. So rather than make an orang-utan of myself I've been reading up on what not to do. Like don't blow your nose! Have used this wet old day to do a post for travellers: a beginner's guide to the Top 10 do's and dont's in Japan. Stay safe everyone.
The landscape in Pai, during the dry season, is coated with a layer of ash. This is because of a strategy aimed at preventing forest fires, by burning anything that might strengthen a random blaze.

The human species; there are now over 7.5 billion of us living on our planet. As a species we have made rapid and dramatic technological advances over the last century, our ingenuity has created vast metropolises and phenomenal cities around the world. Yet despite our advances, despite our remarkable inventiveness and creativity, we have yet to reach our full intellectual potential; the planet we live on, which has allowed us to flourish, which provides us with our food, our medicine, our drinking water, is rapidly dying because of our actions. As we continue to grow in numbers, we are rapidly and inextricably destroying our home. As such, we have no planet B. By 2050 there will be over 10 billion of us on this planet. If we are to flourish as a species and rise to the full height that is demanded by our dignity and intelligence, then we must urgently start taking care of our planet. We must think long term and altruistically towards our fellow creatures and ourselves. We must find our way again in this world. The future of this magical planet, really is in our hands. #nature#naturephotography#naturelovers#climate#love#cute#baby#holidays#travel#backpack#travelphotography#follow#like#like4like#animals#cute#travelphotography#holiday#ocean#extinct#endangered#voice#dosomething#earth#life#future
