Notes for my upcoming bike talk at Pet Safe... Sharing my passion for riding bikes with the world! If your company or organization would love to see more people/employees on bikes, let me know and I'll come and talk! Obviously I have a lot to share about women on bikes, but I cover everything from mountain to road to greenway to maintenance to where to find people to ride with! I even have a PowerPoint! . . .
Join us tomorrow night for our Women's Bike Basics Clinic at Newington Bicycle! This free clinic will teach you a few skills to help you be more comfortable with your bike and introduce some essential 'bike basics'. We'll talk about conducting a pre-ride safety check, removing your QR wheels (and properly reinstalling), pumping tires and finding your proper PSI setting, as well as a brief overview of shifting and chain maintenance! Free of charge, all level riders welcome! 6-8 pm. See you there #springishere#iamwomenscycling#newingtonbike#trekwomen
Come ride with us every Sunday at 8am!
Massive thanks to @fondocycling for joining us, Lisa for travelling so far to get to Carnegie and huge congrats to @jiji_jembae for cycling 40k on her first road ride!
This photo is full of legends!
Patience paid off today and after a record late March snowfall the roads cleared up enough to take Sven out for a gallop. Training seems to be paying off as I had my second PR on Horse Hill this year. I sucked it up and did soem hills repeats. Urgh. I swear running hills is easier. Tomorrow is freezing rain apparently so back to the trainer.
