Senior night may have been last Friday but it's senior week for my XC athletes. Have a big senior group representing us this season. 7 seniors this season! These 7 athletes have put in work day in and day out, pushing themselves along with their teammates to grow stronger, learn more, and reach higher heights. (Plus having to deal with me for several seasons) . It has been nothing but an honor and privilege to coach and watch these athletes over the seasons. So proud of all that they have achieved but even more excited to see what will be achieved by them later down the road. I only hope that they have learned as much from me and the XC program as I have from all of them. 🏁🏆🏁 #seniors#crosscountry#runfamily#runlife#teamgoals#coachlife#trojans#trojanpride#2017seniors#2017season

Yesterday I had a long day... started driving at 7am to Syracuse for Work... I was passing through #RoxburyNY while #atlasgenius was on the radio, I stopped and took this #foggymorning#sunrise picture while I left the door on my car open and #Trojans jammed loudly. I remember it was about 7:24am when I pulled over because I thought “yea I have time to #breathein this beauty. (Was I still late due to unforeseen events involving gasoline? Yes- but that’s another story)
#fastforward to many hours later after a work training and being a #maxinista with @hannahblackbird- I’m driving home through Roxbury again... and boom .... same song comes on. 9:24pm
14 hours apart.... is like to say it’s on a loop but @altnation has awesome live #DJs !
i remember when we were doing sprints in the blistering heat in the parking lot outside salvation army. prep year. i can’t forget how we sat in the hallway at calvary watching sad movies and how becca and kelsey made matching handprints on my legs. freshman year. or our long summer practices at holy trinity before sophomore year. i remember that five-set match against bellevue that we all left victorious, and how bellevue always cheered for whoever was against us from then on. junior year. and i remember our senior night. this year. when we beat calvary for the second or third time this season and we played our hardest. i won’t forget how well we played against christian fellowship in the kcac tournament. i won’t forget how half of us fell asleep under the stairs at some school in indiana. this season has been incredible; i am unbelievably proud of my team and what we’ve accomplished together. i’ll miss this game and i’ll miss these girls so much next year. i’ll miss all the bruises on my knees and legs. i’ll miss the red handprints left on my thighs from my brutal teammates. i’ll miss everything from these past few months, but i’m glad i have these memories. i couldn’t have asked for a better season, and i’m just hoping marley and denise can lead varsity to a victory over villa next year.
