So excited to try out my new makeup today!!
On average, women use 12 personal care products everyday and many of the contain hormone disrupting chemicals that can alter our hormone balance and impact our ability to get pregnant :::::
When we are preparing for pregnancy it is important to detox from these chemicals, but the first step in helping our bodies detox is to stop putting these chemicals on our bodies in the first place.
When we stop using products with these chemicals, our bodies can start to get rid of them.
Do you know what's in your personal care products?
You can check out the Skin Deep Database from the Environmental Working Group and see what is in the products you use and find some new options. :::::
What products are you ready to upgrade?
I refuse to have my days, moods and thoughts taken over by negativity. It upsets me, hurts me and drags me down to a place where I don’t recognise or like myself. From now on I will try my absolute hardest to focus on all the good and positive I’ve had, have and will have.
Yay! I got the confirmation that the referral came through at the hospital where further treatment will happen. I’ll get a letter with the date for our first appointment, hopefully soon! 😃 I do find it a bit strange that we didn’t get to discuss the results with our gp, but we might get to do that with our RE.. we’ll see 😊
The results are (finally!) in! Though slightly improved, it’s still not good. He scored a 1.7 this time (1.1 on the first one), where they want it to be a 3 as a minimum. My husband told me our gp said something about motility and concentration being the problem, but she wasn’t very specific. She’s going to refer us to a gynecologist or an RE. I’m hoping I’ll hear more from them today! 😊 #letsgetthisshowontheroad
This little fox den has been my safe haven lately. I’ve been drowning in stress but thankfully, they are my calm. I’ve been tracking my temperature in the mornings (#tryingtogetpregnant ) and I have a saw tooth pattern meaning it goes up and down from day to day. My acupuncturist told me that was almost always indicative of stress! Ugh, it’s so discouraging how much stress can affect your body. 💔So enough about me. How’s your week been? I honestly want to know! #mytinyfoxden
This adorable stripped shirt is from @vidamoulin! I’ll link it in stories.
Cabbage and fish sticks because, ya know, #tryingtogetpregnant and all that. Lol
Its Cycle Day 9 and hubby and I have been taking our vitamins, trying to eat like grown ups instead of like middle schoolers, and taking ovulation tests waiting for the big peak. Hoping that this cycle will be it... #AndIfNotHeIsStillGood !
We all know how important lifestyle is when trying to conceive. But lifestyle includes the way we think & feel. The thoughts we hold in our mind physically effect us - right down to a cellular level. Our mindset can influence ovulation, the quality of our uterine lining, the likelihood of implantation and so much more...
We called this morning to find out how my husband did on his 2nd semen analysis which was a week and a half ago. Last week our gp’s office was closed for the entire week, today they say they don’t have the results YET. Ehmmmm... what?! Last time they had them in a couple of days!🙄 Ugh. They told us to call back wednesday, if the results aren’t in then, they’ll make a call to the lab... 🙄
Luteal Phase Lunch
Lemon rosemary chickpeas, delicata squash and steamed greens for lunch. :::::
I use the food recommendations in Alisa Vitti's book Womancode to nourish my cycle and support my hormones. It is such a great way to stay in tune with my body. :::::
What are you having for lunch today?

Today I am most thankful for this guy right here. My loving and supportive husband. Where would I be without you? You're the one that loves all of me, you support me, you encourage me, you're my shoulder to cry on, you are my rock when things get too hard to bare. I can't imagine going through this crazy journey called life without you, especially this journey of trying to make a family.
