It's been a BONKERS few days, with so many new options and opportunities presenting themselves. To be honest, I've been quite overwhelmed, which is why I haven't been posting on here quite so frequently. But coming to @thedesignjunction, with all the creativity that is to be found here - such as this wonderful Gateways installation by Adam Nathaniel Furman with @landofceramics - has helped remind me of what was at the root of starting The Pink House in the first place: a love of design that makes you happy and changes your life for the better. Here's to stuff that makes you smile 🥂#gateway#designjunction#granarysquare
Seramik Tanıtım Grubu'nun Royal Academy of Arts'ta gerçekleştirdiği sergiden enstantaneler #turkishceramics

"Although tulips are associated with Holland, both the flower and its name originated in Ottoman Empire. The tulip, or lale (lâleh) as it is called in Turkey, is a flower indigenous to Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey and other parts of Central Asia. Tulips became the inspiration and topic of many Ottoman paintings, calligraphies, songs and poems in that era. It should also be noted, the tulip borrows its name from Turban, from its resemblance to this headdress. In 16th century, tulips were brought to Europe by Dutch Ambassador in Turkey." 🌷 I am not a fan of flowers but tulips have special place in my heart. Maybe because of its uniqueness but it is something indescribable. What says you? 😉 We have plenty of tulips design and this plate is one of them. You can use for serving as well as decoration on the wall or in your antique cupboard. Besides, we receive customize order and kindly pm/contact me at +60172031703 for enquiries and further details. #ceramics#turkishceramics#sayajual
About 4000 years ago, Hittites used to believe in the Sun-God and they made this shape with the ring that represents the sun.
They put the jar full of water on a high place where the sun pass through the circle and blessed the water. Upon occassions or ceremonies, the jug is held on the shoulder for pouring.
History aside, we were in awe the moment we were brought to a pottery village in Cappadocia. It was breathtaking just by witnessing the artisans or known as pottery masters who passionately produced the stunning ceramics/potteries.
To those who're intend to own this masterpiece or to make it as a gift as Christmas is approaching 🌲 or perhaps to give to your future mother in law 😉, kindly PM/contact me at +60172031703 for details. All ceramics are handmade unless state otherwise. We will ship the item from the pottery village to any given addresses and it will be attached with a Handmade certificate. #ceramics#pottery#turkishceramics#turkishpottery#sayajual
