Been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. So many friends in high school worked here and so many late night shenanigans. 75 years at this location, but there's only one constant in life. Change. I will miss this place, and Alhambra morphs further into something I do not recognize. @twoheys_restaurant @cityofalhambra #lastmeal#sundae#stinko#change#Alhambra#Twoheys
Thank you to @mcfarlinfamilyfarms for always providing us with the freshest ingredients; like the delicious apples in our Kale Salad! All tossed with pipian vinaigrette, pepitas, and fennel sprouts. Yum!
A @twoheys_restaurant sundae to finish our last visit to this iconic restaurant. Our server, Jasmine, was amazeballs! Hear that, @twoheys_restaurant So many friends worked here in high school, so many late night food grabs, so many memories. Gonna miss it. #Twoheys#Alhambra#omnomnom#yum#foodporn
My last dinner at @twoheys_restaurant, closing at the end of the month. But for now we're sitting at the bar, there's an awesome 80s playlist on the radio, burger on the plate, great customer service, and a big ol' sundae in my future. Alhambra has changed over the years, but, tonight, it does feel like home. Gonna miss this place. #Alhambra#Twoheys#TheMoreThingsChange
Sometimes a spin on the classic Coleslaw is just what a Saturday needs. Made with fennel, persimmon, Napa cabbage, red onion, goat cheese, and candied almonds all tossed with a cider vinaigrette.👌🏼 Happy Saturday!
Visit while you can: Even though they've been celebrating their 75th anniversary, Twohey's is losing their busy corner location in Alhambra.😢 The original Twohey’s/2EE's opened in 1943 on Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena as "La Brie's." The restaurant established its current location in 1951. Classic car shows here and always all sorts of family fun!
Twohey's is one of the tastiest restaurants around, with tremendous burgers, soups, ice cream sundaes, salads..even an amazing lobster benedict! Try Twohey's Original Little Stink-O Burger & Onion Rings--you'll be crying from all the onions just like their mascot with the clothespin on his nose and tears running down his face! It was trademarked after a woman said, “Oh stinko!” when a customer next to her ordered a hamburger piled high with pickles and onions.😄🍔
I drew this almost seven years ago on one of my many trips to LA, already wishing I could live here. Now I live practically next door to this guy and just got back from seeing the first show of a new theater whose logo I designed (@dynastytypewriter). But while the evening was magical and it’s great to be part of something like this in the city I now call home, no logo I design will stack up to Twohey’s. I mean, come on. The clothespin on the nose? Genius. #losangeles#twoheys#dynastytypewriter

So sad that Twohey's is closing! I've been coming to this place since I was little, and my parents and grandparents even longer than that. Go get some of that amazing hot fudge sauce while you can!! #savetwoheys#twoheys
Went to #twoheys in Alhambra the other night! It's been there almost 70 years, but they lost their lease and are closing at the end of the month. I grew up hearing my family talk about it and had never been. It was very bittersweet reading the guestbook and seeing so many well wishes from people whose families have come for 3 generations, or who started dating here and have now been married for decades. Of course most Angelenos don't have roots here, but for those of us who do, it's definitely sad seeing old LA slip away bit by bit.
Thank you to the @redtricycle for featuring us and our famous “Twohey’s Sundae” in their recent article: “18 Kid-Friendly Dining Picks for DineL.A.” With vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, toasted almonds, and drizzled with housemate bittersweet fudge this dessert never fails to be a crowd pleaser for kids AND adults!
