Have you ever thought about giving up on all the things you worked so hard to succeed at because things didn't go your way or because something happened personally in your life and you let it take away your ambition and drive?? •
I see it ALL THE TIME.  The woman who has big dreams to reach a goal just packs it in when life takes a different turn....I was that girl....

The habitual quitter.
The excuse maker.
The nonbeliever.

I let my circumstances put me in a position to quit.  Over and over again.

What I didn't realize is that once I got my act together and got my life in check, all those little things wouldn't be as big as they seemed to be when I WASN'T taking care of me.  I became the master deflector!

Here I am in my car with my pup and I spent quite some time tonight listening to a few women tell me what held them back for so long, where they are now, and how amazing they feel once they put themselves ahead of everyone and everything else....they said everything just "came together!"

That was music to my ears. •
So for this woman, mom, and wife turned health and wellness coach, this is a proud moment for me to know these ladies...Because I was once in their shoes....because someone gave me some tough love and believed in me more than I believed in myself....and I'm now the person that's able to give them the same feeling I was once given.

What I love about this "job" is that it's helped turned my own life around, but the BEST part for me is that these women see the changes....they can feel the belief I have in them and it's that feeling that pushes them to reach their own goals.

I know that feeling and it's priceless ❤️

Finding & keeping friends as an adult is HARD FLIPPING WORK..am I right?!?😍 I’m an introverted extrovert. I love for big parties & events. Happy hours are my jam. A beautiful scenery with bomb music is my happy place. Laughing ridiculously & just LIVING FREE is my heart.✨ .

Every Monday for the past 2 years I choose to share that heart. With women all over the country. Some I’ve met. Others I connected with. Similar interests. Similar goals. Similar mindset. I definitely don’t hate this whole food, plant based lifestyle but I also love animal protein. I’ve learned through this process that I don’t have give it up, or feel guilty about wanting animal protein in my diet, but I am making a serous effort to find ethically sourced meats and seafood.

And FALL means: everything PUMPKIN, tons of squash and fresh veggies annnnddd HALLOWEEN COSTUMES!!!!

I don't know about you, but for me it was always my goal to get in shape in time for Halloween so I can rock that Jasmine or belly dancer costume with confidence.

And I have FAILED EVERY SINGLE YEAR. And so buying a costume was always such a bummer and I would always celebrate Halloween with just a tinge of bitterness and disappointment in myself.
.
But NOT this year!!!! This year will be the FIRST year EVER that I will be able to wear a costume that shows my belly with confidence! And I'm starting to get ready NOW. Fitness doesn't happen over night!!! UNFORTUNATELY.
.

We are officially less than one month away from the launch of Team Beachbody in the U.K. These are exciting times in our careers as health and fitness advocates as we expand our reach. While the work will always continue in the U.S. and Canada, we will soon be able to help others and build our Team in another continent.

And the work has already begun. Diesel Nation is flying to London next month to open the doors to the U.K. branch of our organization. Our goal was to find KEY individuals rooted in the U.K. who will take the lead in growing their own Teams aligned with our core mission and principles - fitness first, family always.

People always get surprised 😮 when I tell them I’m an introvert.  The truth is even though I teach classes and am able to speak in front of large groups I’m really shy.  I actually get anxiety before going to parties especially when I don’t know people.  I’ve had to overcome this fear of talking and being around people because I knew it was holding me back. 
When I became a coach 4 1/2 years ago I never thought I would be teaching P90X and other group fitness classes or leading team calls each week.  I’m the girl that has to talk herself into going to out because I love being home 🏡. Sound familiar?  I want you to know that you can overcome those thoughts and fears. Trying to get back into the swing of things with school after having been out of it for over six years has proven a little more difficult than I had anticipated. My back has been killing me lately, partly due to the fact that I’m due for another round of steroids 😩 that I haven’t been able to get yet. And I’ve been dealing with some other issues that have got my emotions all over the place. .
And I’ve been extremely slacking on everything Beachbody. .
I know so many people think Beachbody is stupid but I’m here to prove you wrong. This company has completely changed my life. And in these last few weeks of slacking I’ve realized that even more. .
The support. The accountability. The personal development. The friendships. Everything. I feel my best when I am consistently working out, eating clean, doing my personal development and helping others to do the same. .
So while my life might be a little crazy at the moment, I’ve decided to quit all of my excuses and stop being a little bitch. .
Today is day 1 of my journey to free myself and become the best version of ME. I just finished Day 1 of Chisel with Autumn Calabrese (creator of 21 Fay Fix), my meals are all prepped for the week, about to go pick out a personal development book to read - and I am so excited. .

Mondays are always the hardest to get up and workout. There are a million excuses I can give myself to not work out. But fitness is a lifestyle. I don't workout when I want to lose weight. I workout to stay fit and healthy. I know if I work out first thing in the morning I'll make healthier food choices the rest of the day. Don't skip your workout just because you don't feel like doing it!

Dogs are barking like crazy. Kids are screaming. Your emails are buzzing. Lights hit red every stoplight to work & you’re late - sound like a regular Monday?!😜 Most of us are so caught up in the speed we get ourselves worked up & stressed out to the point we become sick, we can’t sleep & we become less than kind. I caught myself doing this lately & had to take a step & remind myself of one thing. . ✨GRATITUDE✨

You can’t stay angry when you’re grateful. The stress melts away when you’re grateful. When you close your eyes & think of one thing you’re grateful for with a deep breath - yes DO IT - amazing things will start to happen in your life. .

Today I’m grateful that these long legs I used to despise kept me moving through these ridiculous moves.

Some days you have to get up and just be totally freakin' PROUD OF YOURSELF!!!!! 🙌💪🙌 Full disclosure - I've been on the 🚌 struggle bus 🚌 the last couple weeks!!!! An extra snack here and there, evening snacks, cookies I couldn't stay away from a couple weeks ago that our mortgage company and realtor sent - one as a treat is fine, but I had wayyyyy more than one! 😳🍪 Over the last couple weeks, I'd hear my alarm go off in the morning and I'd find reasons to hit snooze 5 times - I was woken up in the night by one of the boys, I went to bed too late, I "deserved" a few more minutes of sleep. 
But then I was rushing through my morning, responding to the demands of the kids, trying to pack up lunches, make breakfasts, and get everyone ready while rushing though my workouts - which more than I'd like to admit ended up being and half-a**ed as a result!!!! One or two days of this wouldn't make much of a difference, but compounded over the course of a couple weeks and my wakeup call was how I am FEELING lately -I started hitting that afternoon slump around 2pm, I'm feeling bloated and tired, I haven't stepped on the scale in a week, but I can tell from how my clothes fit that I need a KICK IN THE REAR to get myself 💯% back on track!!! So last night I planned ahead and set myself up so I could wake up with DETERMINATION and PURPOSE! 
I thought through all of the morning's obstacles and planned ahead for as many as I could! 
I prepped the kids' breakfast, laid out their clothes, laid out my workout clothes, set out my cup and tub of preworkout - any little step I could save myself a second, I did!

And you know what? I'm not even joking - I was up without hitting snooze once and I just OWNED all 37 minutes and 12 seconds of that workout because I came into today with DETERMINATION and PURPOSE! 💥💪💥 So what's holding you back from going  ALL IN?! What excuses are you feeding yourself? 
It's time to wake up and IMPRESS YOURSELF!!! Trust me, it feels pretty freaking amazing!!!!!👊

Starting out with a killer leg workout on a Monday morning. Must be my lucky 🍀 day (insert sarcastic remark) 
15 reps➡️15 pounds 
12 reps➡️20 pounds 
8 reps➡️25 pounds 
8 reps➡️25 pounds 
12 reps➡️20 pounds
15 reps➡️15 pounds 
Repeat on other leg. Talk about a leg burner🔥There was a time, not that long ago, where lunging with the heaviest weights I own would have seemed impossible in my mind. When I first started my fitness journey back in 2015, I was the girl who was out of breath & sucking wind during the warm up. And that was only about a minute into my workout doing jumping jacks. My, how far I have come since then. I think back to my very first day & can’t believe how much progress I have achieved & how much stronger I am inside & out. My reasoning for starting, coupled with consistency, has carried me this whole time. That’s one strong why & a whole lot of discipline. 
Find your why, stay consistent, & just START. Be that girl I was & know that it’s possible because I just proved that it is

It’s that time of the week again - #motivationmonday 😄. I think this quotation really sums up how I’m feeling about my fitness journey overall right now. I made progress on both my eating habits and my fitness but it’s not huge progress; I couldn’t share impressive numbers or transformation photos. However, I know that my baby steps are taking me closer to where I want to be and that’s what I’m focusing on. •
Last week my challenge was to have breakfast everyday and see whether it made me feel more energetic and make better choices later in the day and it absolutely did! This week the goal is to keep it up on breakfast front and start focusing on mid-morning snacks, so I keep up energy until lunchtime. But here is the thing you see when you get to a point in your life when causing harm to yourself in the form of food binges, too many fundays, & smoking cigarettes like they were running out, you start to transition from hurting yourself to hurting the people that love you. •
I was ashamed with myself & Charlie was NOT happy but he kept quiet after his words fell on deaf ears. I became defensive with every word that came out of his mouth....because everything he said was true.

And I’m not saying this to make anyone feel bad because, trust me, I KNOW how you feel - you're filled to the top with guilt from yourself.  I’m saying this because I’m sharing my story & because I want you to see that there's a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel. •
Was it easy to get to? Nope.  But it’s not impossible.  When there is HOPE, the light starts to creep in.

I was addicted to being a crappy person to myself on the daily but I would guess, being someone who self medicates with food like I did, that your blinders are on & while you know you should be making better decisions, you just keep on that same path to nothing good anyway.

Every week my self care looks a little different. Some weeks I treat myself to a mani/pedi, other weeks is a massage, sometimes I will just sit and be still reading a great book. Today I chose a relaxing epsom salt bubble bath soak with a great book and a mud mask.

Tonight I am grateful & thankful that on our family trip this week I was able to indulge in a few treats without turning the whole weekend into one giant cheat meal. The old came would use any excuse to binge eat, while the new me stuck to her supplements, ate a giant salad & fruit as appetizers, and drank tons of water. I'm proud of the self control I've gained this past year, but I'd be lying if I said it was all me. I always have my online accountability group in the back of my mind & I know that they are counting on me to post my meals/water/workouts every day. Without my girls, I would've given up on myself a long time ago using my old excuses like "I deserve to eat this whole pizza because I had a long week at work" or "I can skip my workout because I only had one sleeve of Oreos instead of all three." Thank goodness for accountability #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

A weekend full of a few splurges had me racing to the grocery store today 🏃🏻 to stock up for my meals this week.  When I get off my clean eating, even for a meal here and there, I feel like 💩 , I'm exhausted mentally & physically, and as if I'm not forgetful enough...the brain fog sets in.  Let's not talk about bloating 🤦🏻‍♀️

This was my grocery trip and I didn't need much this week.  It's the fresh veggies I always need every week, but my grocery bill has been cut in half because I've figured out how to save me money every week and HOURS in the kitchen every night!

When I hear ladies tell me how they have to lose weight & inches yet in the same breath also say "I don't have time to cook," or "Healthy is expensive," I cringe.  To me that gets interpreted as it's not a priority ...so then they're back at square one but still complaining 🤦🏻‍♀️! STOP!  Losing weight has everything to do with the food you eat.  Period.

So out of this and what I already have, I'm making great meals for this week and for my 5-day Healthy Gourmet-Like Meals group that starts Tuesday.

Nobody, including myself wakes up everyday with motivation. Motivation is a direct result of your REASON or WHY you want to do something. 
Why do you drive an hour to go to a job who hate? Because it pays your bills & feeds your family 
Why do you stay up all night with your sick child? Because you love them & as a parent, you will comfort them in any way you know how 
Why do you brush your teeth twice a day? Because it’s part of your daily hygiene & you don’t want to have smelly breath 
I think 🤔 you get my point. What’s drives us to do anything, is the exact reason why we do it. Find a strong enough reason, and find your MOTIVATION👊#yourwhyisyourmotivation

I love Sunday dinner. I love even more, when there's no cooking involved.🤘🏻 Attempting to whip up something new-- a chicken white bean pesto chili in the crockpot!😍 I might also have cranked up my AC, lit pumpkin candles, put out cinnamon brooms and be pretending we get an autumn here in the south. Final 3 reps at 55kg, wanted to increase the weight but the final rep was a struggle (as you can see lol), so maybe next time 🤷🏻‍♀️ Today’s workout was: squats, elevated lunges and deadlifts followed by a HIIT circuit with @sydphotography 😅
