Happy book birthday to Beyond Magic!
It's bittersweet to reach the end of Aria's story, but I can't wait for you all to read it 😁
Being a witch-vampire hybrid isn't as awesome as it sounds.
All Aria ever wanted was to find her family and discover who she really was. So far, it’s been more trouble than it’s worth. On top of uncovering the truth about her magical hybrid heritage, her possibly evil half-brother, Alek, has appeared. There’s nothing she wants more than to trust him, but after all the horrible things he’s done, how can she?
As if dealing with her crazy family and learning to control powerful new abilities weren’t enough, the immortal Venator are getting stronger and nearly impossible to kill. The High Priestess wants her dead, the vampires want her powers and all Aria wants is a normal life. And maybe a hot guy or a vampire on her arm. The problem is, she doesn’t know if she’ll even live long enough to choose.
Happy Tuesday!! 🌼
Time to play some serious catch up on one of my ghostwriting contracts. It kind of took a back seat over the last week so now it's time to sink my claws into it. 18,000 words before tomorrow at 9pm. There will be coffee. There will be wine. And then there will be sore wrists and fingers from all the frantic typing 😂 If you don't hear from me for a while it's because I died. -
Anybody else doing some mad cramming today?!
The wolf wars series by H.D Gordon
Favourite Line: “Too busy blaming the world to notice my own share of the blame”
Well where to start 🤦🏾♀️ I devoured these two books in the space of a week! ⏳
Not a typical wolf story, these books are set in a world where every wolf has its place! Masters, Hounds & slaves. We follow Rukiya ‘Rook’ a slave who is referred to as a ‘dog’. Our main protagonist is a prize fighter who is forced to fight for her life in a ring for the entrainment of her masters, hounds and other supernaturals.
Due to a series of unfortunate or fortunate events Rooks life is forever changed. Can she change the status quo of her life or will she be forever doomed to live by the mantra “shift fight survive” ⏳
Without giving too much away, book two starts straight off where book one left off. We watch Rook deal with the aftermath of the events in the previous book. During this book we saw Rook’s personality grow and watched as she tackles her ingrained prejudices and misconceptions. ⏳
I would definitely recommend these books, they are a refreshing take on the wolf genre & I couldn’t put them down. Rook’s kick ass resilient personality had me cheering for her throughout! The love interest in the books were cleverly interwoven that I didn’t feel like they over shadowed the actual story. 😊

“Lawan wound through the steel cages of the Thunderbolt, an orange and white behemoth of a rollercoaster. The steel had managed to remain in decent shape, with minimal rust and grime, while the rest of the amusement park decayed with time and disuse. A fog had rolled in from the nearby beach, hovering two feet above the ground and glowing in the light of the broken moon. It was the perfect setup for disaster, but she plowed forward anyway, trailing the two leeches who twisted their way amid the white bars.
The wake of fog behind the vampires coiled in the air like dancing ghosts, tendrils waving her toward them. Carousel music murmured in the distance, colorful muted lights penetrating the mist. Lawan kept her distance on silent feet, careful not to give herself away. After following these two from I-278 onto Shore Parkway, she’d been ready to abandon them in Bay Ridge, but then she overheard one of them say an all-too familiar name.
The word sank its hooks in her brain and dragged her to Coney Island.” - BLACK BULLET, L.D. Rose

UN FUMETTO AL GIORNO #83
🔹Nomen Omen vol.1, @dronio e @antropomorto
Look what’s out on preorder:
Lucious and Helena are both entrapped by the Council but for different reasons. Where he shares an unstable reign with Hans, she is bound to the castle’s grounds for her own safety. Tough decisions, secrets, and endless arguments push them apart. What they don’t realise is that they could be played by someone more sinister than they’ve anticipated.
News that Demon Queen Baal will step down from the throne shake the Demon Realm. As an outsider, Maya is once again stuck between being a High Councillor and doing what’s right. The only chance to keep the realm stable is to find the princess in time with the help of her soul collector fiancé, hopefully before all demons are eaten by The Destroyer.
