When I first rescued Sami she was abused and unwanted. Her whiskers has been burned off and she just needed some love. Now, 2 years later she is all about letting @haileychamplin and I know that she should receive some sort of attention all day long. For example when she was a puppy I would have to take her everywhere I went in my moms house so she wouldn't tear anything up or relieve herself everywhere. So when I went to the restroom she would be in there with me and i would pet her the entire time. Now, almost 2 years later she still comes in the bathroom with me when I have to poop and expects to me to pet her the whole time. Sometimes it can be annoying but I usually don't mind because this dog gives me so much happiness. She was free, she is well behaved, she obeys and she doesn't tear up my home so the least I can do is pet her while I poop. Gosh, love this dog.

Pretty candid photo that my friend @randy_savv took yesterday. There were tough calls that costed me a 2,005 total for my first comp at 275. At the end of the day I was humbled and I am thankful for my coach @chrisgordert for getting me through every prep he’s kinda like an older brother to me now. The plan is Nationals and Reebok Record Breakers later in the year. I’ve got plenty of time to improve some simple things and to get stronger altogether thank you to @randy_savv @honeyyy.dew @jess_sanchez562 @562project @sonica_1 @beefycakes10 @beehoopsx15 @supremesportsnutrition1 @livehate_ @team_g_strong for coming out. Definitely helps to have a strong support group like this one. #uspa#powerlifting
I made the decision today to not drop weight and to compete at the 181 weight class again in my next @uspapower meet in March. My ultimate goal is to be competitive in the @usapowerlifting league and my options for weight classes are different. The next one down being in the 150’s. For comparison, I weighted 150lb when I competed in bodybuilding. 😬 I was skinny and weak. My body likes to sit at 171-175, so the #usapl class of 185lb is the closest to that weight. I want to stay where my body is happiest, while still eating clean, lifting heavy, and enjoying time my with husband and friends on the weekends. -

Powerlifting was introduced to me about 15 years ago, and after a whole bunch of life happening as well as a bunch of pursuits of sport and fitness, I'm back at my roots finally as a competitor. Totally fine with my 'Rookie Debut': missed an early attempt w/ Squat on a technicality and played it safe at 435#, gambled on Bench Press in a lofty third attempt and settled with 330#, and then left it all on the floor for a PR 601# DEADLIFT!
