Little photographer @samratghost getting off a shuttle which took us from our hotel in Springdale(adjacent town) directly to the Zion Narrows starting point. This is what I was talking about in my last black and white post.
Here's another panorama from the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park!
One of the things I missed out on during my visit was driving on the White Rim Road and Schafer Road. Both of these required high clearance vehicles, with 4WD recommended…and my rear wheel drive sedan would not have been ok with rocky dirt roads that could turn muddy with any rainfall.
Instead, I took a break and observed those brave enough to try Schafer Road from an overlook! It was a really cool view from where I was, but I needed my widest angle lens to make a panorama that fit!
Taken with my Pentax 645z
Superior gave us a lovely send off on Sunday. The South Ridge is quite the fun scramble full of exposure and breathtaking views! It's definitely not for the inexperienced or those with a fear of heights. 3k feet of easy class 5 scrambling in 1.5 miles, yes please.

According to the Access Fund, new information proposes a 90% reduction to Bears Ears National Monument, exposing Indian Creek to industrial development. (Read more here: bit.ly/2x92LaL)
Living in Southwest Colorado, I am fortunate enough to have experienced the desert in all it's raw dry, scorching, freezing, tear-inducing, healing, breathtaking, and beautiful glory. As a climber, Indian Creek is a precious place to me. Its history alone has inspired more adventure than any industrial development ever could.
I took this picture from my campsite at the creek a few weeks back. I was bruised and sore after a long, hot, exhausting day of climbing, but watching this sunset I felt more humbled and at peace than I ever am when I am at home in the "real world". I hope I never have to see the day that this sacred place is overtaken by our selfish, ignorant, materialistic species.
It's been too hard living, but I'm afraid to die 'Cause I don't know what's up there, beyond the sky
It's been a long, a long time coming
But I know a "change gonna come", oh yes it will 🎶-Sam Cooke #sunset#fall#change
What do you currently want/need in life right now?... Well.. that's what it will always be. It will be a need. In other words, you don't have it. Focus your thoughts on what you already possess, and what you now seek. Be grateful and thankful for who you are and where you're at in your life, and watch your life shape into how you imagine it.
Neena lived out in the country as a kid so she never had a mailbox. When she moved in with Talon, she loved checking the mailbox everyday. One day, Talon suggested that she should go check the mail, and in the mailbox was a letter asking her to marry him. And when she turned around, there he was with a ring ❤️
