Arrived in Mexican Hat, just a little over 2100 miles. Opted out of Butler wash, realized it was not a wise thing to do on my own had also spent alot of time a couple of days ago picking up my bike. Did not want to get in a situation where I couldn't pick it up or break something on the bike ( or me) that couldn't be fixed. Time to head back
I am never disappointed by the views that this mountain gives. Lately I've been experimenting with different angles and perspectives to try and capture what my eyes see. It's ridiculous how what comes out from the camera just doesn't do justice to what you can see in person.
An early morning run to Flag Rock. It's a 9/11 tradition. 16 years ago today I was six days away from having my first baby. It seemed like the scariest time to bring a child into the world. But, seeing a new life was just what I needed. I'll never take my freedom for granted. #neverforget 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Oh, Utah ♥️!! I'm making sure to hit the trails at least once a week for now. The beauty astounds me every time! It's even better when you drag a friend along! She looks happy too huh?? She's a beast of a crossfitter but you'll never take the cheerleader out of her. 😂 #UTAHISRAD
In exactly three weeks, I will be having my hip labral tear surgery. I find that I'm starting to feel a bit more nervous than I had up until recently. We have been discussing possibilities for trips next year, and I hate that I can't really commit to anything just yet. I am excited to have the surgery done and eventually be able to do get back outdoors. Between my back and hip, it has been 3 years of concern and pain. I'm very ready for it to be over. We have one last trip planned to see the Fall colors in Utah the weekend before my surgery. Until then, here's a shot from our recent camping trip at Pine Valley.
