Arctic Terns have the longest migration of any bird, traveling up to 25,000 miles a year from their breeding grounds in the Arctic to their wintering grounds off the coast of Antarctica. This pair was seen off of Eastern Egg Rock in Muscongus Bay, which is one of three breeding spots in Maine for Arctic Terns. • Photo by Staff Photographer @arianavda
Conquer the island! Orchestrate your own mud run from Featherbed Island House to Featherbed Island for a new perspective. Bonus if you come back with blueberries.
Maine is so wonderful! If you haven't yet visited (especially the coast), put it on your list! Some favorites places to stay are Camden/Rockland, Stockton Springs (Penobscot River area), and Southwest Harbor/Acadia. This year, it's been great to escape the Texas heat and just 'be' in nature with the kids. Going back home will be rough weather-wise, as well as on other numerous accounts...not the least of them being curbing my 'vacation' eating habits. 😝 #vacationland#jansentravels#igmaine#acadianationalpark
I never posted a completed picture of this, but here it is. Makes me think and look forward to fall. I know it's cliche but it is my favorite season. Just updated our Etsy page to include these!
