I was asked (like genuinely asked, not pretending I'm more popular than I am) whether I'd ever done a bulking guide and I haven't, so here it is.... -
If you're not gaining weight, you're not eating enough. Eating "loads" means fuck all. If you're not training like an arsehole and still not gaining, eat more. Granola is delicious, try it. -
Muscles will only grow with the right stimulus. Similar to eating "loads" you can't just train "hard". You need to make sure, over time, you are lifting more. That could be more weight for the same reps or more reps with the same weight. It might not be linear but over time you should be doing more. -
Eat enough protein. 0.8g-1g/lb should be enough. If you're the type of person that thinks ketchup gives you cancer and protein is going to destroy your liver, go for the lower end. If not, I'd shoot for the higher end (personal preference). -
Try to spread protein throughout the day. We can't store protein in the same way we can carbs and fats. Spreading protein throughout the day allows us to maximise muscle protein synthesis. Aim for at least 20g per serving but 30-40g may be better. Just split your total daily protein into as many meals that gives you 30-40g protein per meal. -
Determine your estimated rate of progress. If you're a newb, you can probably look to gain 1-2lbs per month. If you're intermediate, half that. If you're advanced, you'll know what you need to do and won't be reading this. -
Get enough carbohydrates so you don't fall asleep mid session and enough fats that your d**k doesn't fall off (for guys obv). Once you've met those, just eat enough calories. There is no perfect "macro split" for gaining. -
Make sure you're gaining a lot longer than you're cutting. We have a limited capacity to build muscle which means we can't force muscle growth beyond a point so you just need to be patient. -
Don't neglect recovery. Sleep enough, drink enough (water) and stretch /roll if you need to. You can't gain muscle if you're injured, nor can you take a muscle through it's full range of motion. -
Last but not least, commit and don't half arse it. -

I was snapping myself today on the parade ground and when I was done, an official called me and asked why I was dancing because I was jumping and I said I was snapping myself.
And then, I taught him how to snap himself.
Then, he started asking where I come from ati other gists.
He asked for my name and I said 'Mosunmoluwa'.
He was like that will be difficult to pronounce and that a little girl he knows bears the same name 'Mosun' and he was saying that it seems two names were merged and I was like 'No, Mosun means I am close'; so, saying Mosunmoluwa means I am closer to God.
And I explained other 'Mosuns' to him eg Mosunmade, Mosunmola.
He was now like how will one say 'I am close to my darling'
I told him I don't know the meaning of darling in yoruba. I think 'ololufe' should do. But, I knew what he was trying to do.
He na said I should say 'I am close to my heart' in yoruba.
I said it and he now said that is what I should be saying when others see me with him.
I just told him 'excuse me sir, I am a deeper lifer and I would like to introduce you to our church.'
