Once you hop into your plank, go through a quick form check. Press your heels back to the wall behind you to create lots of tension in your legs. Tuck your hips forward and give your bum a SQUEEZE to keep 'em there.⠀

Bellybutton back to the spine, pulling in through both side of the waist (like you're tryna squeeze into a tight pair of pants). Strong through the shoulder blades, head in alignment with the rest of the body, while trying to create as much space between your head and your heels as possible.⠀

You can see how hard this is. So underrated exercise but so much benefits and showcases real raw brute strength and power. 1. Jan on the left as mentioned before in a previous post was insecure and hated everyone cause he was under the impression that everyone is out to get him. (Also I had very messy hair and was going through a Bieber phase. Y'all heard that right!).
2. Jan in the middle most likely loves ya, partly because he has come to the realization that your "ideal expectations," for the male body are not relevant to his goals. Also, he got a really sweet haircut and he really learned to lighten the fuck up
3. The guy on the right? That's @jimmypolo10 (Jimmy Garoppolo) he's a pretty sweet dude (Although, I don't know him personally) and a kick-ass Quarterback for the 49ers, he played for Eastern Illinois where he broke the Passing record for 5,050 Yards which was previously held by Tony Romo.

Clean pull/clean deadlift is my choice of training over conventional deadlift. Clean pull has two objectives and both carries over to sports. 
1st, bar reaches its max vertical speed at the end of the pull. 
2nd, clean pull finished in triple extension which is desired in many sporting situation. 
With the above two objectives, a well executed clean pull requires the athlete to maintain a strong and rigid posture throughout the pull. Also, athlete will achieve the most optimal joint positions (hips, knees and ankles) throughout the pull for optimal accelerating and a violent explosion at the end should be visible. The application of force is also very direct, precise and linear.

Literally everybody and their mother has been sick in the past two months, mostly with a common cold (some with the flu and more severe lung issues). And nobody ever knows whether they should workout when they’re sick or not. Most of us turn overly dramatic when we’re sick so saying “if you feel ok then go workout” doesn’t really suffice lol.

Studies were done some years ago on the effect of a head cold on working out. It was concluded (after infected half the participants with a common cold virus) having a cold has no effect on either lung function, exercise capacity (your maximum amount of physical exertion), or metabolic response.

Another study done based around symptoms and recovery showed that there was no difference in symptoms between people who exercise with a cold and those who do not. Also, their recovery time did not vary either. When their symptoms were assessed, some participants said “they actually felt better”.

Can exercising help you feel better ? Potentially; 1) dilating your blood vessels which can help shuttle blood cells and nutrients to appropriate places to fight the battle, 2) pumping more oxygen throughout your body and helping open your nasal passages.

I was sick for the last 2 weeks or so and am just getting over it. Felt like shit a bunch of days but I missed a grand total of ZERO workout days due to the illness. I felt great during every workout too ! So whenever possible, let’s try to suck it up princes and princesses 😊
