Glad you asked! 🐮 💡💡💡
In an average scenario, she gets taken away from her own mother when just few hours to few days old.
When grown enough, she is artificially impregnated by the farmer, as without becoming pregnant she will not produce milk.
Milk production kicks in and she will be connected to the machine 2-3 times daily to get her milk out.
When her baby is born, it gets taken away from her, as this milk is not for the babies (they will get the formula).
Her little boy, is not useful in the milk industry, so he gets killed and is sold for veal ('veal' - the flesh of a young calf, used as food).
Let me just refrase that: Her baby boy, is taken away from her, killed and is used as food.
Her baby girl is also taken away, but she is now going to become a 'dairy cow' meaning, she is waiting to be ready to become impregnated and start producing milk. Just like mummy.
This mum without a baby is now to continue being milked and within a few months, she will be impregnated again, to keep her milk supply coming.
Her new baby will also get taken away. And she will be sad again. As sad as a human mother would.
At the young age of about 6 she will no longer be able to keep up and will be basically written off as a dairy cow, she will become 'beef' (- the flesh of a cow, bull, or ox, used as food).
There is a lot more very nasty things that may happen along her sad life path. Youtube has it all laid out for you, dive in.
Watch dairy is scary on Youtube. 📽
If you can't bring yourself to watch it, just remember, if you are eating it, or drinking it, that means you paid someone to do these things to this beautiful animal 💚 #choosekind#vegan#govegan#kindness#beef#cheese#milk#chocolate#veal#calf#mum#mumandbaby#babygirl#babyboy#dairyisscary#veganuary#londonfood#cool
A complex and multi-flavored tender and juicy veal dish with foam to give it a light airy feel. Entrecôte de veau rôtie, fricassée de champignons de Paris, sauce suprême et noisettes. Entrecote = a boned steak cut off the sirloin. Veau = veal (young cattle, calf). Rotie = roasted. Fricassee de champignon = served in a white thick mushroom sauce. Supreme sauce = classic "small sauces" of French cuisine, that is, one made by combining a basic or mother sauce with extra ingredients, this sauce is made from a velouté sauce (a light roux whisked with chicken, turkey, fish or any other clear stock), reduced with heavy cream or crème fraîche, and then strained through a fine sieve. Noisette = hazelnut. Simply put - delicious.
Our feature item this month is #Scottish#Meatloaf ! A traditional seasoned mix of #beef & #veal with green onion mashed potato & caramelized neeps. Pairs perfectly with our own beer - the Humpback #PaleAle !

I Love this little story its so true 💚 @Regrann from @skylands_sanctuary - Here it is.
Real life footage of baby Walter being liberated..
This beautiful boy is a true representative of the Starfish story...
We love him so much already.
I am so sorry that I couldn’t help the other babies.. Once upon a time, there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach every morning before he began his work. Early one morning, he was walking along the shore after a big storm had passed and found the vast beach littered with starfish as far as the eye could see, stretching in both directions.
Off in the distance, the old man noticed a small boy approaching. As the boy walked, he paused every so often and as he grew closer, the man could see that he was occasionally bending down to pick up an object and throw it into the sea. The boy came closer still and the man called out, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?” The young boy paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach and they can’t return to the sea by themselves,” the youth replied. “When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water.” The old man replied, “But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I’m afraid you won’t really be able to make much of a difference.” The boy bent down, picked up yet another starfish and threw it as far as he could into the ocean. Then he turned, smiled and said, “It made a difference to that one!” adapted from The Star Thrower, by Loren Eiseley (1907 – 1977) #freedom#life#save#saveanimals#vegan#dairyfree#free#calf#cow#veal#saveallanimals#liberation#animalrights#dairyfree#veganfood#plantbasedmilk#vegansofinstagram#heroes#activists#mercyforanimals#babies#mylk#plantmilksaveslives#sanctuary#animalsanctuary#instagood
