I made this Raw Honey Butter Frosted Fig cake for a special persons birthday at the Biltmore Golf Club today. I was told that it tasted like a giant frosted Fig Newton! I looove this recipe. I've also used the same recipe and made sexy little bite size frosted cookies instead. Try making this recipe either way! It's one of my fave's💛💛💛 Honey butter frosting;
2 tablespoons coconut oil, solid
3 tablespoons coconut butter
4 tablespoons raw honey, or coconut nectar
2 tablespoons Lucuma powder
pinch of sea salt
Put the honey butter frosting ingredients into a high-speed blender and mix until smooth. (Easy does it. Be careful not to over process... The coconut oil and coconut butter may separate. Careful!)
1/3 cup dried Calimyrna or Turkish figs
3/4 cup coconut flour
1/4 cup raw almond butter
2 tablespoons coconut butter
3 tablespoons raw honey, or coconut nectar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
sea salt, to taste
Chop the figs into small pieces. Put all of the ingredients into your food processor and process until you have a sticky dough. You should be able to roll it out onto parchment paper and and with clean hands, shape the dough into a cake. If it's too sticky add a little more coconut flour. Spread the love butter frosting(as I call it) all over it and devour...Mmmm! Hana, Maui inspired Avocado Chocolate Mousse! The trick for this pudding is to let it sit overnight. It will taste like avocados when you first mix it, but after sitting the avocado absorbs the chocolate and it truly loses its vegetable taste and only tastes like pure decadence.

Following @cara_schrock's lead (a kick ass vegan mama), I said pick any dessert you want to make. He answered, hostess cupcakes. So we veganized and gluten freed the hell out of 'em, and baked till fluffy using the Baby Cakes recipe.
Tomorrow comes the filling, frosting and the signature line of squiggles. Except our frosting is white with brown squiggles (not brown with white), as to not be mistaken for an actual hostess cupcake. 😖
Teach them to love vegan food at a young age, and all the goodness that ripples out from it. Even if it means some sweets. 💗
Mango Chutney... ohhh yes!! Mangoes are one of the few fruits that we use in Ki's Kitchen, for the main reason that it is a strong cancer fighter, as well as it alkalizes the body.
Mangoes are laden with Vitamin A and C, but they are high in natural sugars, so consume sparingly. It is for this reason we use limited amounts in our food prep.

Started the day out kinda rough, had to take @dustyotterduckums to the vet to deal with chronic egg laying problems 😥I will never understand how beautiful sentient creatures can be bred to be egg laying machines. Their little bodies will never be able to keep up with the insatiable appetite of humans and they pay the price. So much needless suffering, painful deaths and worst of all, so many birds must go through it alone, with no support, family or care. It's a cycle of craving and consumption that we will work forever to break. No baby deserves a life like that. Hopefully our girls will be ok, we give them the best chance we can everyday. Or add in some onions to the recipe and make them like fritters.
And you don't have to deep fry them if you don't want to (I assume nobody wants to deep fry, simply because it is such a hassle, I could be dangerously wrong), you can just airfry or even bake them! Your options are endless, literally!👌
And there is absolutely no reason or need to eat processed crap when you can eat delicious, healthy and savoury foods like these! Stop running behind convenience, fast and junk food. Those things can't really even be called "food" to begin with! The longer the shelf life of those things, the shorter our life. Who wants that?!
