What are you doing today to move your body? What are you doing today to work your mind? Both are just as important as one another, get your body moving in some way every day but also do something everyday to stimulate your brain, reading, writing, studying a topic that interests you, etc. We talk about how important it is to get your body moving daily but we don’t talk enough about how important is is to make sure you’re activating your brain in some kind of way. Today I encourage you to do something different, get your daily workout in and then once you’re home, do something different, read a new book, paint, draw, do some yoga, listen to a podcast, anything you want to do that activates your brain too ☺️☀️ have a beautiful weekend guys!!

A day full o’good food on a rest day from the bike. Sweet potato hash. Darn goodness that fills your belly with warmth. I’ve only started eating them about three years ago when I tried the Whole30 dealio. It was one of the best things I’ve learned from that process. I think I used to mix the hash with some bacon. I miss the crunch of bacon, so I’ve added raw red onion. Does the trick...really. Lunch was a lentil protein bowl bowl with lemon tahini dressing and a pear. And, because it’s Friday and they were delicious the first time...VEGAN ENCHILADAS for dinner. A few tweaks...pan cooked the sweet potatoes instead of boiling, added bell pepper to the mix, and made the sauce a bit saucier with more veggie broth. I also made 2.5 times the recipe so that we’d have this for at least a meal or two more. I also bought a new cookbook this week. I’ll make a recipe and post the details. #veganenchiladas#allthevegetables

This two lane highway sounds like a nightmare for cyclists, but for us it was a dream today! After three days of bumpy country roads we did not mind the traffic and enjoyed this beautiful smooth tar... it felt like flying 🤗 #travelturkey#smoothride
Let’s just talk about how cute my cat is for a minute with her little sharp fang hanging out her mouth looking like the cute little weirdo she is. Granted she won’t let me hug her and love her but will proceed to hit me in the face with her tail on the daily, I still love her 🐱
HAPPY FRIDAY ☀️ honestly I am not feeling too fabulous today, yesterday after my CrossFit class I was struggling with severe calf pain in both legs and today it hasn’t eased up at all, I’m literally struggling to walk ☹️ so I’m listening to my body, I rested for most the day yesterday and today I’m going to do all I can to stretch and hopefully release whatever tension is in my legs! Starting for a gentle and slow walk to the gym, for a half an hour ROMWOD session then I’m going to come home and continue to rest up! Not really what I wanted from today but it’s so important to listen to what your body needs and rest when needed!!
After a long day of cycling, this is the kind of campsites we need! Found a quite small beach last night and had a good night's rest here even though the waves became strong and we were afraid the tent will get washed away 😉 #travelturkey#beachcamp
