Today I had a really good tennis training, everything just seemed to fit into place 🔝 But tennis 🎾 can be so challenging sometimes, partly for the body, but even more so for the mind. ⠀
Sometimes I feel as though I haven't got a clue and I will never have what it takes to play well and win matches, but I will not give up 🙅🏼 I am determined to keep training, keep practicing and I trust that the dedication I put in will pay off in the end 💪🏼⠀

Normally I don’t bother with new years resolutions, to be honest I usually set myself up for fail. Either they don’t work out, I completely forget about them or maybe I wasn’t being realistic.
Instead of setting goals that are easy to think of (because it’s what everyone else is doing), I’m taking a holistic approach and thinking of something small I can do to enhance my life this year.
I’m going with small because small is a stepping stone, and small is achievable. I know I’m not going to achieve everything I ever dreamed of by 2018. One tiny small step at a time.
I did say I wanted to reach the middle splits this year however, I’ve been working on it 5 days a week so fingers crossed I get there by the set date (Which is Christmas day - so I still have time). But you know who cares if I don’t, I have the hard work and determination of continuously trying to be most proud of 🙏🏼 I also said I want to continue consuming less sugar and alcohol and chill out on the usage/waste of plastic this year.
This will be a nice fresh start for my body as I embark deeper into my thirties, whilst also becoming more mindful of the impact I make on the earth whilst I’m occupying it.
Its amazing how much a new decade reinvents you. I’m so glad I’ve changed.
So for me 2018’s resolution will focus on living more mindfully as opposed to conveniently. (Mindfulness vs Convenience)
All whilst I’m swiftly and comfortably launching into the splits! 😜 (hopefully..) (..wish me luck). R x

As this year comes to a close I can't help but dream about what 2018 will bring for this world and me. Looking back to december 2016, I would have never imagined to be where i am now. I think sometimes we underestimate what we can accomplish in a year's time. My intention for 2017 was authenticity and peeling back the layers and masks I was holding up. I think i did a pretty good job at that so far haha. My intention for 2018 are reconnecting with my inner child even more. Allowing myself to be more care-free and trusting of life's processes. I feel like as a kid I was at the top of my health and happiness because i was simply enjoying every individual moment. I wasn't caught up in the future or the past. Unless it was a week before christmas, then i'd be dreaming of all the presents i would get 😜 I also didn't care about what my body looked like to others. I only cared that it felt good and that it allowed me to run and play around. I want to re-connect with those qualities within me even more. I think I have already done a fair amount of work in this area but more can be dug up, un-learned.
