In other news, I've been back to work for few days and pretty much over it! I've got some long shifts and will have to go gym later and I hate training late 😩 My body doesn't like eating after 8pm and I can't go to sleep hours after training so that'll stuff my sleeping pattern lol. Oh well, life happens aye...

Meal 1: Oats with rice milk, banana, cinnamon and granola bar. 
Meal 2: Fried brown rice, quinoa, spinach with BBQ sauce, chilli & a shake. 
Meal 3: Tomato & beans soup with spinach & mixed quinoa.

Ouais, ce matin je m’ennuyais vraiment de mon lit. En ce moment, on dort sur un lit de métal avec des springs, donc dès qu’un de nous deux bouge ça fait bouger l’autre en plus de faire du bruit. C’est fou à quel point j’accorde une importance à mon sommeil. Je sais à quel point si je dors mal, ma forme ne sera pas bien bonne. C’est mental, peut-être mais ô combien j’aime dormir une nuit straight non-stop. J’ai un peu hâte à mon retour, dans mon lit, ma routine de dormir seule 😱😴! Ce matin, mon cadran a sonné à 7h et j’ai snoozé jusqu’à 7h20 puisque j’avais rendez-vous avec moi! J’ai tellement sué, wow! Sweetened with Innocent apple juice, I had some #quinoa left over from a salad so threw that in & it worked really well. Plus Nature's Heart Superfoods #chiaseeds for protein & #omega3 .

These splits this morning where a major struggle, ignore the smile it's more of a smirk 😏 because of the tightness I am feel in my legs 😓 
I know why it's due to doing a lot of extra cardio which always makes your muscles tighter however I just need to incorporate more stretching during the day to help realise the tightness 👌🏼 but happy 😊 I'm still able to do the splits lol 😂

I used to hate leg days and love arm days, now it's the complete opposite! I also remember being stuck on four plates on the lat pull down machine and now it's five, baby steps. 👐 What have you done this week to make you feel proud? 💜

Start the day doing something you love! For me at the moment this is running (yes I never ever thought I would say that!!!).

 But each and every time I run I push myself that tiny bit further. I have come from being able to run 1K in around 8 minutes before dieing in a heap on the floor, to running 2.5K in around 18 minutes! For me thats the furthest and fastest I have ever ran. .

I know there are many many people out there who can run faster and longer but that doesn't matter. The only person I focus on beating is myself, and when I do the sense of accomplishment is unreal! 💪

I wish I could stomach this right now but instead I'm tackling water. Usually I'll start my day with 1L of water, exercise and meditation. Today I didn't even make it through the jar of water. It's currently 6:15pm and usually I would have had another 3L. Not today. I think I've had about 300mL... it makes me sad and like most people I get frustrated when I'm sick because I think about all the things I could be better doing with my time. Today I had to take a step back and rest in hopes of a quick recovery. And when I say quick, I hope to get to the gym in the morning 🤞🏻💪🏻
I love my morning routine so much that I just crave it everyday and those days where I can't, it just sucks a little. But no complaints, I still managed to have an otherwise productive day.

Vorige week had ik 2 dagen flink (!) meer gegeten dan nodig (Eh PMS, hoi🙋🏼) grotendeels van minder optimale voeding = minder voedzaam = minder nutriëntrijk (je lichaam doet niet aan zwart-wit denken in 'gezond' vs 'ongezond' en 'goed' vs 'fout', dat ligt een stuk genuanceerder). En daarbovenop had ik voor het eerst sinds een jaar (wegens medicatie) weer eens gedronken. Ik heb er van genoten. 💃🏼 #noregrats 😌 Maar aangezien ik een hypergevoelig lichaam heb, heb ik me mooi wel crappy gevoeld hiervan.🌚 Ik krijg regelmatig de vraag waarom ik 'nooit drink' of 'altijd zo gezond eet'. Mijn antwoord daarop is: because it makes me feel good! Ik hou ervan zo lekker in mijn vel te zitten en me energiek te voelen (want boy heb ik tijden gekend dat dit niet zo was). Dat betekent niet dat ik nooit koekjes, chocola, drank etc. nuttig of dat ik het nooit te bont maak, want #yougottaliveyourlife sometimes, maar als ik kijk naar hoe crappy ik me er, met mijn gevoelige lichaam, achteraf door voel, heb ik het er van dag tot dag vaker niet voor over dan wel. Als in full hammer gaan op die fles of die pakken koek. Genieten 'met mate' -zo suf en verstandig als dat misschien klinkt- doe ik elke dag!😌🤗 En ja ik eet ook gewoon suiker, brood en drink koffie, maar in de hoeveelheid dat ik er geen negatieve effecten aan ondervind (met mate, dus 😉). En ik eet dus niets dierlijks, maar dat is dus een ethische keuze, die in de eerste plaats niet over gezondheid gaat (al is dit wel één van de factoren waardoor ik nu zo top in mijn vel zit, maar dat is een ander verhaal). 😊 De days after die twee dagen schranzen had ik behoefte aan veel groenten & fruit en wat lichtere maaltijden (goh). Dus mocht jij daar ook behoefte aan hebben, een (lunch)idee willen voor een maaltijdsalade, of geen zin hebben om te koken met pannen, bij deze! Dit is 200 gram bloemkoolrijst, 100 gram edamame bonen en 110 gram avocado hummus gemengd (alledrie van de ah) met 50 gram gegrilde paprika (uit zo'n glazen pot), 100 gram gemengde sla, 120 gram falafel en 50 gram gegrilde groenten hummus (wederom Ah). Veel groen, maar die hummusen (🤔) maken het tasty AF.😁 /669kcal, 56C, 29F, 34P.

Mijn antwoord daarop is: because it makes me feel good! Ik hou ervan zo lekker in mijn vel te zitten en me energiek te voelen (want boy heb ik tijden gekend dat dit niet zo was). Dat betekent niet dat ik nooit koekjes, chocola, drank etc. nuttig of dat ik het nooit te bont maak, want #yougottaliveyourlife  sometimes, maar als ik kijk naar hoe crappy ik me er, met mijn gevoelige lichaam, achteraf door voel, heb ik het er van dag tot dag vaker niet voor over dan wel. Als in full hammer gaan op die fles of die pakken koek. Genieten 'met mate' -zo suf en verstandig als dat misschien klinkt- doe ik elke dag!😌🤗 En ja ik eet ook gewoon suiker, brood en drink koffie, maar in de hoeveelheid dat ik er geen negatieve effecten aan ondervind (met mate, dus 😉). En ik eet dus niets dierlijks, maar dat is dus een ethische keuze, die in de eerste plaats niet over gezondheid gaat (al is dit wel één van de factoren waardoor ik nu zo top in mijn vel zit, maar dat is een ander verhaal). 😊 De days after die twee dagen schranzen had ik behoefte aan veel groenten & fruit en wat lichtere maaltijden (goh). Dus mocht jij daar ook behoefte aan hebben, een (lunch)idee willen voor een maaltijdsalade, of geen zin hebben om te koken met pannen, bij deze! Dit is 200 gram bloemkoolrijst, 100 gram edamame bonen en 110 gram avocado hummus gemengd (alledrie van de ah) met 50 gram gegrilde paprika (uit zo'n glazen pot), 100 gram gemengde sla, 120 gram falafel en 50 gram gegrilde groenten hummus (wederom Ah). Veel groen, maar die hummusen (🤔) maken het tasty AF.😁 /669kcal, 56C, 29F, 34P.

MOOD. 🤤 
I'd like to think I'm a relatively fit person BUT I'm seriously questioning my level of fitness after today! We had a workout with @elycebuchan_fit who definitely put us through our paces and I cannot believe how wrecked I am! It's actually sort of awesome, lots to improve on and lots more to learn... just the way I like it! 💪 In the mean time, I'd really love some donuts. 😋

If someone told me 5 years ago that not only would my thighs touch, were the thickest they've been (and still growing), I would have 1. Not believed you 2. Been crushingly devastated that all the obsessing over working towards a feminine/ slender/ "toned" body all went to waste. But here's the thing, it's never a waste to heal your sick preconceived notions about what a women's body should look like. 
I would put my ass in the university gym for at the minimum two hours; cardio for the first hour, light weights (mainly curls and tricep extensions) and then core work until I earned the sauna & immediately weighed myself. Like a sick, crazy making fitness regimen. I literally weighed my success by how skinny I could stay and how defined my thigh gap was. (gag).

Now I literally bitch & complain about cardio (but secretly starting to love cross training cause woo crossfit) because I found an Olympic weightlifting gym where I have not only learned form, and correct ways to gain muscle, continuously through diet and some magic programming made by our amazing/ talented and helpful coaches & fellow lifting $quad:

@dave.dean ...but my mental strength is what has come the farthest and something I'll be forever grateful for. I work my ass off not to have a certain aesthetic, but to keep climbing over barriers I thought I'd always be stuck behind. My goal is actively participating in my life with the passion and vigor. Never did I think I'd be able to lift 88lbs over my head (that's going up soon😉) & squat my own body weight. My goal is not a "hot body" (I just puked in my mouth a little) but to do what makes me feel good. I probably would tell you I felt great 5 years ago. But nights were hard and I didn't fall asleep feeling accomplished, just exhausted and grateful I could pull off being skinny and graduating on the deans list, that's not the full life I want to live. Everyone deserves to find what makes them feel alive and healthy and everyone is obligated to themselves to do that thing. .

How about this: Do you know what's going on in someone's life when you open your mouth and say nasty things? 👈🏼 The biggest thing that really gets me down is when others bag on people's weight or bodies! Like are you insane! 😳😳😳 Do you know why that person is where they are? What if they have an illness or maybe had a divorce? Do you know that they're working there butt off to lose weight? What about people who flaunt what they got as maybe there confident with there bodies? 🤔 Someone may have different genetics to you or even have a health issue you don't know about which won't let them get "shredded" like some. I just find it absolutely ridiculous that there's such nasty people out there and I see it ALL THE TIME! 😳 Be your own god damn fitspo as it's you VS YOU, Legit 👊🏼 #soznotsoz for the passionate yet powerful post.
