I legit had a dream last night that I was carrying to BEAUTIFUL ice cream cones topped with like this bomb chocolate chip ice cream and I FUCKING DROPPED THEM BOTH ON THE GROUND. I woke up in a panic and still feel a little saddened by it...🍨anyone else have crazy vivid dreams that feel real??? Ps this photo: when yo sister makes you breakfast 🙌🏽 quinoa porridge cooked with vanilla and coconut milk, topped with berries, nuts and more coconut milk
I had some leftover cucumber in the fridge and I wasn't planning to make something with it soon. I made this pickle out of it with some salt, vinegar, sugar and mustard seeds, so I can keep it for a long time.
Vegan lunch in Aruba at GardenFresh Cafe. 🌱🥑🌽 Create Your Own salad, wrap, or panini for $9. I got a wrap, John got this salad, and we split a bag of plantain chips. Ordering was easy because of this checklist they have- just write "NO CHEESE" in the cheese section.📝 Fresh, healthy, and reasonably priced. #veganaruba
A stocked pantry is like heaven. 🙌🏻🙌🏻It makes cooking easier because you have a bunch of ingredients to choose from. If you're a big 'I have nothing to eat' person, stock your pantry because you'll always have something to pull from. Plus bulk shopping creates much less waste and you can buy as much or as little as you need which saves 💰. Currently I'm stocking all acai bowl toppings for bomb acai bowls because I can't get enough of them. My smoothie bowl essentials include @kindsnacks maple granola, pumpkin seeds, coconut flakes, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and fresh fruit. Anything I'm missing that I should try on my smoothies?
My last day at home calls for a pancake stack of my dreeeeams 🌝 They're sandwiched with peanut butter and drowned in chocolate sauce sweetened with dates, my new favorite staple from @thedatelady that I found hidden at the little health food store near my house. For the pancakes, just blend 1 cup of oats into a flour, then add 1 banana and 3/4 cup almond milk or water and blend again. I added flaxseeds for a nutrient boost and 1/2 tsp cinnamon for flavor. Then just cook over medium heat! I make these at school almost every single day and I'm still not sick of them 🌞

We may have fought about "going halfsies" because we both wanted all of everything... but can you blame us? Cold pressed cocktails, bowls and bites with my main man last night at @trismcbus made my day. Can't wait for their grand opening Saturday with the amazing @yogameredith !
I slept over at my aunt Dorris' and my visit would've seemed incomplete without a baking session! After I told her that I still enjoy cooking, she took out her stack of recipes, while I was busy trying to a google a quick recipe 😂 (after which I'm inspired to keep my own record of recipes). Anyway, we made muffins from an Ellis Brown recipe that she cut out from a newspaper some years ago. Conversation is always better with something cooking in the background, right?
