Brownie Butter Overnight Oats 🍫

Como mostre en mis instaStories , ayer compre una nueva leche de almendras que encontre en el Barrio Chino, por lo que tenia que ponerla a prueba. 
La verdad me gusto mucho, ai bien nunca va a ser como la leche de almendras casera, para avenas, smoothies esta muy buena, y es super practica. A diferencia de las otras viene en sachet de carton y tiene un vencimiento mas prolongado a diferencia de las otras.

Para la avena nocturna:
• 1/2 cup de avena
• 1 tbsp de chia
• 1 tbsp de harina de lino.
• 1 tbsp de cacao amargo @drcacaochocolates. • 1 cup de leche de almendras + 1/8 cup de agua o mas leche
• 1 tsp de vainilla + stevia a gusto

1. Mezclar todo en un frasco y dejar reposar por la noche en la heladera.
2. Servir y llenar de toppings.

My boy’s mama’s Mung Dhal and pilau rice. Every time he goes home for a weekend, his mum packs him off with at least 4 Tupperware boxes full of her delicious curries and bhajis. We always try and make them last for as long as possible! And I’ve even started trying to make some of them myself, but I don’t think they’ll ever be quite as delicious - since all of her spices and ingredients are sent from Mumbai. 🇮🇳❣️
There’s just something so different about traditional Indian food. The taste is so different to any English-Indian cuisine. And it’s especially so good for me since it’s entirely gluten free and mostly vegan. I can’t get enough of it. 💃🍛🌱

Evolution! We all change and we have to accept that!

I've gained some weight back since I haven't been able to do my cardio recently due to a recovering sprained ankle, and was very self-conscious about posting this photo. But we all change, and we should never been scared about gaining or losing weight, so this is me posting my current progress.

I have made immense strength gains, and now I'm treating this as my bulking phase until I can resume cardio.

I guess I'm still lean and I'm just being whiney, but growing up with body image issues, it will stick with me. I'm proud of myself for posting this.

Everyone asked me at the vegan picnic if I took my top off, I did! Haha. Before everyone arrived!

I've heard a lot recently that people avoid eating too much fruit because it's 'so high in sugar'. I just can't get my head around this, fruit will not make you fat, overeating is where the problem lies. Eating too much of anything can cause weight gain but it would be extremely hard to overeat on fruits and vegetables due to the high fibre content and bulk of the food(this plate of mine had 180 calories) .I recommend eating your fruit rather than juicing as it is alot more satisfying as the fibre is still intack. So all in all Fruit is an amazing snack, it's low calorie, zero fat, full of fibre, high in antioxidants and has all the vitamins and minerals our bodies need. I highly recommend eating fruits high in vitamin C this time of year to prevent you from suffering the seasonal colds and flu. Fruits to add into your diet include grapefruit, oranges, lemon water and pinapple🤗🍉🍎🍏🍐🍓🍑🥑🥝🍍🍌🍊

Do you count them?? I’ve never in my life counted a single macro, calorie or regulated my intake based on any number or calculated figure... and yet can’t seem to gain very much on the MASS amount of food I seem to be consuming now.

I was talking to my mentor/ trainer at the gym and he said I was probably a hard gainer like he was and it might take a little more diet structure and planning to start making progress with those #gains again 💪💪 And by that he meant calculating and then counting macros.

Whilst I always thought I was heavily against such things and all about listening to my body, I think for me now with the goals I want to achieve and the progress I wish to make- this may be something I have to do.

Maybe I’m eating less than I think (calorie wise- I know volume is fine!) maybe I need to consume more fats or protein (probably not carbs... as my gigantor sweet potato baked lovingly in the oven as we speak)

Who knows!?! So now onto my next little adventure- kinda excited to see what lies ahead!

It’s a bit like taking the blue or red pill in the Matrix, once you’ve removed yourself from this type of social programming and you can see clearly what is going on, you wonder why other people can’t see what you see, and this then breeds the feelings of frustration that come out as aggressive attacks and pushiness towards others.

You want to make the world a better place and just wish everyone else did to!

The trouble is we must always remember that most of us were once where others were with their habits, and we are all on our own journeys and paths of discovery in life, it’s hard not to want to shake others and say “can’t you see what’s going on!” but we know that approach has very little effect and actually pushes people away.

So as much as we have Empathy and ComPassion for the Animals, we must show that level of Empathy and ComPassion for each other, non judgement, inclusivity and support for our journeys, all we can do is provide information and show that living a Plant based life is a positive one for both Health, Ethics and Environmental reasons.

CHEESY BEANS AND GARLICKY BROCCOLI AND ZUCCHINI BOWL 🌿
Served with sautéed kale and a brown rice salad. For the beans I added some black beans and red kidney beans to a pan with red onion, turmeric, garlic powder, smoked paprika and nutritional yeast, and for the broccoli and zucchini, I roasted those in the oven with some fresh garlic, chilli and salt + pepper. The brown rice salad was leftover from last week but it has capsicum, tomatoes fresh herbs, lemon juice and salt + pepper in it. This dinner was delicious and full of micro and macro nutrients. Picture from the left is from late 2016 so probably in August. I was finally going on a cut. I think my weight at that time was 137. The picture on the right was taken yesterday which was January 15. My weight on the right picture is 136 a pound difference between the two pictures. Went through some stuff and stop training. Would hit the gym 2 or 3 times a week, but i wasn't mentally there. Anyways I've been more focus and determine the best two months now and i can see the strength gain and muscle definitions. Two pictures two completely different diet and nutrition. I can clearly see the difference between the two. Less fat on the right pic Thats for sure. Someone introduce me to this new life style and thats why what i consume changed.
