Woke up a 27 year old today 😄. Im not really big on celebrating birthdays (I’m actually working tonight) but I am celebrating my first blanket order ever going out yesterday! It went to a beautiful home. Super thanks everyone that has been ordering blankets lately. I appreciate it tons ❤️.
What a gorgeous pair of mittens!!!! Another lovely giveaway! 🖤😱🖤 #Repost @threehazels with @get_repost
-Giveaway- I made another pair of „selbuvotter“ but sadly there is a stain on one of the mittens so I decided to give them away for free. They are knitted with a cotton- bamboo yarn. To enter my little giveaway, follow me. Post one of the pictures of my selbuvotter and tag me in the picture. I will announce the winner next friday 🌿 #veganknitting#knitting#knittersofinstagram#knittinginspiration

Lopapeysa inspired knitting: @mjmucklestone #sigla pattern. Wishing I had used more of a burnt orange, but continuing to check out sizing and mods desired to ***maybe*** make a steeked variant. Because reading about steeking vegan yarn is inspiring, and because I seem to change temp so often the idea of a pullover makes me a little warm already. Fun, easy, pattern!
Blocking my lovely @bluebeestudio #lineatehat and hoping for the best with the brim uncurling. It's a beautiful design. This is take #8 trying to get this lovely design to work for me (user error, the pattern is immaculate).
Don't forget to check for vegan yarn for all your knitting projects! Using the #infinityloom and #acrylicyarn to make a wool-free blanket.
Some folks think wool is safe to use because they believe animals don't die as a result of shearing. The sad truth is that shearers are paid by volume and so the more wool shorn, the more money the shearer makes. This results in countless accidental amputations and injury to sheep, including: loss of teets, skin, ears, and tails. Shearers stand on top of the limbs of these animals to restrain them during this traumatic process. The worst wounds are sewn up without anesthetic with a simple needle and thread. Many sheep contract infections due to lack of medical care and inevitably die as a result of the shearing process. Lambs are often castrated in the wool industry with the use of rubber bands and many will not survive the weeks long procedure. Workers have been known to intentionally cause injury to these gentle animals.
If you #knit please use animal-free yarns. Knit with compassion, not ignorance!
Just finished Izzy's new jumper. You might not tell by her face but she loves it 😘 she is a very nervous dog and wearing jumpers sometimes really seems to comfort her. Also stops her licking and making skin sore when scared. #veganknitting#rescuedogs
Heeelp! This is #lineatehat attempt 7 or 8. I had a hard time finding the right yarn for me and this project, and thought I finally had it. But the brim is curling terribly- if I let go in this pic you would see a full roll up. There is very little ribbing so it's stockinette almost right away, but no one else on Ravelry seems to be having this issue. Maybe they all just blocked/steamed it out? I love the pattern and really don't want to give up.
Showing off my hand knit brioche hat (pattern is Liguria by @katta_rinah ) made with Pleiades sock by @veganyarn and Lana Grossa Meilenweit Solo Cotone. Can't wait for colder weather! Hat is very snug but a bit stiff.
Also I'm wearing the new pullover I bought @vannature_nijmegen. It is made with organic cotton and it's from the lovely brand @armedangels.
I was happily working on the only project I’d brought home with me over Christmas, thinking I wouldn’t come close to getting finished, until... I ran out of yarn. Just before the decreases 🙄 AND I have a 7 hour journey back to Edinburgh tomorrow with no knitting! On the plus side, @theyarnit was my favourite Christmas present I received and I’m in looooove.
