Although I was feeling super lazy to cook lunch yesterday, thankfully my sister was the opposite and together we managed to cook a nice big lunch. We cooked quinoa with roasted butternut squash and cauliflower, with courgettes, sweet potato and mixed peppers cooked in a tomato sauce. AND to top it all off (see next picture) we made some kale chips on the side - simply put fresh kale seasoned with salt, olive oil and nutritional yeast in the oven for about 10/15 minutes until crispy.

Broke out of my comfort zone and didn't get the carbonara 😱 The charcoal calzone diavola was well worth going off piste!
While I'm drooling at some of the autumn / fall collections that we're getting a peek of now, there are still some beautiful summer bags to enjoy, like this Sunday mini in pink by @angelaroi 📷 by @angelaroi
Spending the weekend eating out, running low on fresh fruits and veggies and putting aside my intuitive eating really showed me how much energy and vitality I receive from eating clean, raw and fresh. My morning smoothies make me so happy and excited for the day and give me so much energy, focus and positivity throughout my day. Loaded with all sorts of goodness, I really miss them when I'm out of my routine. Today, after my morning yoga, I'm excited to have a big ol' smoothie to start my day right.
After the healthiness of the previous days bowl, I went out with my mates in London and needed to line the stomach first, so over to @templeofseitan we went. This place is run by a geezer from Melbourne (I think!) and they do first class vegan fried chicken. I got a chicken burger, fries with gravy and you can't see it but a mac and cheese. It felt like I was in the Mississippi in the East End! On a side note: Hackney has changed a LOT since I used to go there. Where did all those beardy hipsters come from???? #vegan#veganlondon#veganengland#veganfriedchicken#templeofseitan#veganjunkfood#veganburger#vegantravel#longplayerkitchen#lpk
@teaandglory is a great tea shop in Camden with a wide range of teas and tea experts • staff went though, in great dealt, all of their tea selection for me to choose; even though they were due to close in a few minutes 😍 it was great #customerservice thank you guys. So I went with a roasted popcorn tea (pictured) it was rich and smoky and just delicious! Made with so much love - how delightful is this clear mini tea pot - that my tea brewed in - on top of my takeaway cup 😍👌🏽 a fabulous tea experience. Can't wait to go back and have my tea inside the shop, only wish they had some vegan baked goods to enjoy with my tea 😜👌🏽
Man I didn't think i'd be saying this but today is the first day I felt autumn coming 🍂🍁🐿 maybe it was just the rain. Either way, i'm whipping out the pumpkin veg! This is a butternut squash, chickpea and spinach curry over some brown rice 👌🏼🌿

😱 shock horror.. I've realised I've been spending circa £24 on food at work each day..!!! I work in Canary Wharf so it's never going to be cheap.. but wowsers.. especially when you consider I just eat veggies!! .. (mind you has anyone else noticed that good shops are jumping on the good wagon of veganism... but charging meat prices?! 🙄) Anyway in an effort to avoid immediate bankruptcy I am now making me and my man packed lunches.. this is the afternoon snackages of nuts and fruits (not all to be eaten in one go! ;) In here we have walnuts, almonds, macadamias, apricots and hazelnuts. Good fats, selenium, minerals, protein and fibre... 😋
Satay sauce has got to be the best comfort food. Here we have all the good fats, peanut, avocado, olive oil and coconut milk. I made a super coconutty black rice, sticky tofu , avocado and green beans covered with crunchy satay sauce I made.
Haven't had access to a kitchen in a while so I had to improvise for breakfast!

This month’s open day takes a look ahead to the coming colder months, with an opportunity to skill-up and buy seedlings to plant for winter. From mustards and rocket to endive, kale, and chard, there are many choices when it comes to keeping your garden and your plate green over the coming cold months! As well as keeping up your vitamin and mineral intake for fighting winter illnesses, their fresh green leaves are a reminder and a harbinger of the next growing season – and they give you an early spring harvest too if you let some plants grow through.
As usual there’s also delicious lunch, coffee and cake served all day, a site tour and a forest opportunity for kids.
Seasonal Blitz morning: our weeekend volunteering opportunity, join us at 9.45 for a 10am-1pm session. We advise sturdy shoes and you are welcome to stay for the Hawkwood monthly Open Day afterwards. This month the focus will be on planting out winter salads.
