The basic strategy for such meals is: Try to exchange the usual rice, pasta, quinoa, with Peas, Potatoes, Red Lentils etc! The good thing with vegan protein sources is that they bring lots of carbs with them aswell, so they „replace“ the carbs from the rice you‘d normally use.

1 Veggie Bowl each day
5 Days a Week

That’s it! This is one daily habit that could actually change your health!

Until then, try this method for easy, yummy OIL-FREE salad dressing: ~2 cans beans plus the liquid(Great Northern beans work great.)
~1/3 cup soft-ish seeds or nuts (like roasted salt-free sunflower seeds or water-soaked raw cashews)
~2 cloves of garlic
~1 teaspoon onion powder

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth. 
2. Store bean mixture in an airtight container in the fridge and use throughout the week. 
3. When you’re ready to top off your salad, kick your bland veggies up a knotch, or wanna spice up your grains, simply pour a portion into a jar and shake it up with your favorite flavors using citrus juice and zest, flavored vinegar, fresh herbs, dry spices, and even salsa!
4. ENJOY!

Even my “carnivorous” hubby agrees, these are just as good – if not better than the real deal! But, when you factor in how GOOD they are for your health, the fact that NO animals we’re harmed to make them, and that you're not over using the earths resources to have them – I think they’re the clear winner! 💕🐔🌎 .

Roasted Potatoes 🥔 
2 russet potatoes
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tbs @convivial_spice Sizzle blend
1/2 tbs @convivial_spice Savory_0%Salt blend
Pesto for dipping

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice the potatoes into wedges and set aside. In a small bowl, combine the spices and olive oil. Mix to combine. Place a sheet of baking paper on a baking sheet and lay the wedges on top. Drizzle the oil & spice blend over the potatoes and then, using your hands, mix together until each potato is coated in the marinade. Place in the oven for 25 minutes. Remove and serve!

Another freezing cold day but at least it’s perfect soup weather 😏 I had this kale and lentil Dahl soup at @chapelartscafebath today for lunch with some sourdough on the side and it was absolutely delicious and just what I needed! Honestly just love soup and how cost it makes you feel (I know I’m a loser ok? 😂)- my all time fav has to be the classic butternut squash soup I reckon.. what’s everyone else’s favourite flavour?! Hope you’re all managing to keep warm today ❄️

All that for only $36!  2 boxes belvita, wasa crackers, 2 cans tomatoes, oatmeal, bananas, 2 boxes of pasta (usually $1.19, on sale for $1), salsa, spinach, lentils, onion, lemon, green onions, cilantro, mint, 2 potatoes, and 2 bars.  This week I’m having belvita or oats for breakfast, making a potato, pea, & cauliflower curry for dinner with brown rice (have rice and frozen peas & cauliflower on hand already), & Zoe’s beans, for lunches a cold lentil salad, and bananas and wasa crackers for snacks. Plant based creole style gumbo with turmeric-coconut rice. I've been tasting this for months, and the flavors are balanced so perfectly. A ground seaweed concoction I whipped up gives off that fishy taste that's reminiscent of seafood gumbo. And of course there's file powder and lots of other spices going on. I'm so pleased with this dish. Yum, yum.

🦄My mini-cut officially started! 2 weeks of pretty low calories so you will benefit a lot, because I‘ll post many more low calorie, high protein meals! The basic strategy for such meals is: Try to exchange the usual rice, pasta, quinoa, with Peas, Potatoes, Red Lentils etc! The good thing with vegan protein sources is that they bring lots of carbs with them aswell, so they „replace“ the carbs from the rice you‘d normally use.

🦖Still combine different sources tho! And add some cashews on top for an awesome Amino Acid profile. 😛
