We are not baby cows. When a cow is pregnant, she produces milk to feed her calf, the same as pregnant woman produces milk to feed her newborn. Why on earth humans insist on being nursed by a cow?? We're too old for that anyway 😂😂 .
I mean we stop drinking our mothers' milk just to start drinking milk from a mother cow 😳Cow's milk is nothing else but a growth liquid produced to turn a 65 pound calf into a 700-pound cow as quick as possible 🐮What makes people think it's for them?? .
And here's some scientific facts 👉🏼women who drink three or more glasses of milk per day have a 60% increased risk for developing a hip fracture
👉🏼drinking three or more glasses of milk increases mortality risk by 93%
👉🏼for each glass of milk, risk of dying from all causes increase by 15%
👉🏼open your eyes and stop poisoning yourself and your kids. Switch to plant based milk and #ditchdairy

For those of you who watched my instastory and guessed beef stew...technically you were wrong, but I’ll give you a pass 😂 I used @gardein homestyle “beefless” tips to remix one of my mom’s recipes and created a vegan “beefless” stew 🍲 and the kiddos loved it! (the wine is for mommy tho lol 🍷😘)
Me sinto a louca do peixe vegano.
▪️Sal e pimenta do reino a gosto
These signs are everywhere in midtown/Northyork This is what the life of a baby cow is worth..... this is what the dairy industry does. Rips babies away from their mothers, kills them and sells them in a sandwich for $5.99. All so that humans can consume something that belonged to them.... It took me becoming a mother to realize the suffering this industry causes and how deeply intwined we are in it. It took me going #vegan to realize how sick it was all making me! 💔say something-great big world
Bon Bons. Triple chocolate cake with chocolate #aquafaba#NiceCream , draped in silky smooth, crisp chocolate magic shell. 🍫🤤
Since my 17 nephews and nieces call me Auntie Bon Bon, I made these special bite-size #BonBons especially for them. .
Find the cake recipe in the cookbook app, and the NiceCream will be coming soon. For now, you can try the chocolate nana nice cream recipe. ❤️✨
The dreaded cardiiiiioooooo! It actually wasn’t that bad (my hair disagrees), but yay! It’s done! 😆
I’m not focused on the scale, but I did take a peek and 8 days in and down 4lbs. BEST part, I’ve already upped my weights and feeling more confident! 🙌🏽 That’s what this is all about!

We also had their ginger pie and mint chip pie, but devoured them both before we had a chance to get a 📸
If I could eat at this place daily, I would seriously have no problem being a raw foodist 😳😩😍
Hoping your week is going well so far. As always, sending love 💜
Tonight I made quinoa pasta 🍝 with @beyondmeat Crumbles, @raoshomemade Sauce, fresh basil 🌿 and @parmelacreamery Mozzarella. So good! 😋 When I was a kid, I loved pasta with meat sauce 🍝. As a child, I didn’t know the connection that the cow 🐄 in the field, was the cow in my plate. So many don’t make the connection (even as adults). I have been asked before about “forcing my kids to be vegan”. 🤦🏻♀️ My answer is always, they aren’t “forced” they’ve just made the connection. As for when they aren’t old enough to understand, I think of religion... We are born into religion (most of the time), we didn’t get to “choose” what religion we would be, our parents chose for us, but no one gives anyone issues for that. Or how about people who feed their kid’s McDonalds and other fast food and no one bats an eye? My older daughter wants nothing to do with animal products. She loves animals ❤️ and is completely grossed out that people eat them. My younger doesn’t understand yet, but we will inform her the same way. 💖A vegan diet is safe and healthy for any stages of life. In fact, the Academy of Nutrition And Dietetics has come out and said exactly this: “It is the position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes.” Also, did you know that Dr. Spock (yes, THAT Dr. Spock), revised the seventh edition of Baby and Child Care recommending a vegan diet for children?! Some of his last writings were about this very subject!
A comforting bowl on the rainiest of days. I used Bob's Red Mill dehydrated potatoes, canned corn, cherry tomatoes, red pepper flakes, crushed walnuts and olive oil. After an invigorating yoga session this morning and long afternoon raking leaves in the rain, I needed a serious refuel. Thankfully, this bowl (and the one after it) did just that!
Walnuts are a good source of calcium (bone health), iron (transports oxygen), magnesium (helps regulate heartbeat), phosphorus (plays role in how the body uses carbs and fats), potassium (needed for fluid balance and muscle contraction), sodium (helps control blood pressure) and zinc (healthy immune system).
This weekend I was rushing through the grocery store, trying to quickly make it through my weekly shop and get back to a few sick kids at home, when I saw her. A mom, just like me, shopping with her two young boys. The look on her face I knew well. She was exhausted and trying to concentrate on her shopping while also trying to manage her little ones. The boys did their best to entertain themselves with rowdy shouts and tickles in the cart. She whispered instructions of obedience to her children through clenched jaws to avail. I could see her exasperation as her eyes darted around the store hoping that no one noticed her boys' disobedience.
That's when her eyes caught mine. Her eyes were welling with tears of frustration, likely not the first time she felt overwhelmed that day. I gave her a small smile and a nod, trying to convey my empathy. .
Yet I hesitated.
I wanted to walk over, put my hand on her shoulder and say, "you're doing a great job. You've got this. Motherhood is a wonderful, exhausting blessing. I know you're doing the best you can. That's why you're here on a Sunday with a cart full of organic produce and kids nicely dressed. I know you're looking around to see if anyone notices your children being children, but all I notice is a mom doing her best to keep it all together. Take a breath, mama, you're doing a great job."
But I hesitated. .
Her eyes went back to her boys and she walked to the cash register. I lost my moment to connect, to affirm, to encourage. In that one moment I could have given her the recognition she needed to hold her head up high and carry on with strength, but I hesitated, and she left feeling worn down.
What about you, dear friend? Was there a time that you too hesitated to connect, to affirm, to encourage, or to stand up for yourself? What will you do when your next moment arrives? .
I know I won't hesitate.
An ode to Spring, with this delightful @sunsol_muesli bowl 💕
1/4 cup @sunsol_muesli oats
1/2 cup macadamia nuts
1 banana, frozen
Small handful raspberries
2 drops pure rose essential oil
1/2 tsp vanilla of choice
1/2 cup fresh coconut milk
Add to blender all your ingredients. Blend until super smooth, using your tamper if needed. Transfer to a bowl, and serve with lots of PB, @loving_earth caramel choc, coconut and Ruby grapefruit.
If your blender isn't so powerful, you'll probably need to soak the nuts first x
It's more important now than ever to start those difficult conversations with friends and loved ones. Be a spiritual mentor to those in need. Teach through example. Open your heart, listen and never judge. Slowly, others will come along and before we know it, the world will be vegan. We can do this. #togetherasone 📸 @plantbasedmotivate
Did ya think I wouldn't try and get a clip of this rare workout together? I honestly don't know why I agreed to do this total body workout because it's tough shit. 👌 Five sets, starting with 1 rep all the way to 8 reps at max weight and once you get to 5 reps it's tempo style. Then you gotta do it all over again. 🤦Oh and did I mention that you get ONE 60 second break during the entire 50 minutes?! 😆 My quads and glutes are already feeling the burn. We did some flexing and muscle comparing after our workout bc what's life without a little friendly competition especially with your partner. 😘
