It's midsummer today! I will celebrate with my family and friends and I'm sure it will include lots of yummy food😋
The weather is typical midsummer weather- 15C- ish, but I think we will force ourselves to be outside the whole evening anyway🤷🏼♀️

This time last week I was exploring north Sydney and all the beautiful markets and cafes I could fit in. While I was there I got to visit The Beaches Markets, trying carrot and chocolate muffins, and stocking up on juices by @prodjuice 🌿 This beetroot juice was super yummy (although as someone who's only ever had orange based juices I think I'll love it more in time). I also tried their orange juice (who could resist) and it was seriously delicious! 🍊🍊🍊 The entire markets were so beautiful and are definitely worth checking out whether you're a local or just visiting ✨

Fried tofu, garden herb cheese, pickled onions, microgreens and veganaise all smashed between an everything bagel. Now that's a sandwich! Tried frying tofu for the first time and not to toot my own horn but... 🎺🎺Highly recommend it🙌🏼
Afternoon lovelies 😊 I have some really great news today 😀 especially if you followed me before I started my vegan feed. Today I had my last psychiatrist appointment, after a really long battle with my mental health. I never knew how I'd feel at this point, but if I'm honest, I feel really fucking happy & liberated 🙌🏼 I never envisaged that I would make it this far, & I honestly believed my life was over at one point 😕 Being in that same room again, I could sense the old me in the corner, & I felt sad. I felt so sad for that person I once was, but so unbelievably amazed at who I have become. I'm not saying my life is sweet, cos I will always have my problems, but to see how far I have come has made me realise something. It's made me realise that even when you're at your lowest point in life, if you can't see a light, you will get through it. You are stronger than you can ever imagine, & you will grow into the most beautiful soul 🙏 dinner today was turmeric, garlic & chilli butter beans, with broccoli, peas, & roasted potatoes coated in pepper, salt & @vantasticfoods 'parmesan' 😍be kind to yourselves always beautiful people 💚
Thai red curry! With cauliflower, green beans, tenderstem broccoli, baby corn, and new potatoes 🙌 Had it with bulgar wheat and quinoa mixed, with a squeeze of lemon, spring onions, and black eyed beans - my favourite 🌱
I really love pickles 🥒🥕🌿🍅🍋 and fermentation ✨✨
I used to finish off my friend's pickles whenever we eat out and even then I always ask for extra
So of course I had to make my own pickles ☺️
These are very special pickles, they're preserved lemon strawberry pickles (my favorite!) and kombucha grape + grapefruit pickles (also know as gee gee gee - grapes, grapefruit, gut - which also doubles as a mocktail 😛🍇)
They'll tickle your tongue with bursts of flavor and your tummy with all the gut friendly bacteria from the fermentation of kombucha and preserved lemon 🤗
I call them tickle pickle ✨

Just my type of meal for such a lazy restless day🤗 Ricebowl filled with mixed white brown rice 🍚 broccoli cauliflower stirfry 🌳kimchi 🍁fried beancurd taukwa along with salsa 🍅 black pepper, sesame seeds and soon after, my usual dose of nutritional yeast!!🧀😋👌💯 oh and as you can see, it's apparent I ran out of sriracha and yes, I already am barely living without my chilli ( ；∀；)🌶

My favourite economic rice from one of the most patronised yet humble caifan stall in town!✨🌱 Rice 🍚 with a hairy gourd stirfry🥒 sichuan pickled vegetables 🎋minced "meat" 🍖 marinated potatoes 🥔 and braised beancurd taukwa with a side of one of the best homemade sweet n' sour sambal chilli which I can literally drink by its own! 🌶😋👌💯
Had a serious craving for green juice this evening 🤤 this was a perfect combination, so delicious and enlivening!!!
