We certainly had our adventures there, including eating a dozen vegan donuts in about 5 minutes (don't this before work, it doesn't result in a productive day 🤤), Bruce getting booted (while we were sleeping inside), and exploring a new vegan eatery for every meal for a week
I got a little too excited about all the choices. So excited in fact, that I made a SLC vegan food Google Map. It will be part of the SLC Vegan City Guide I'm putting together. You can even download the map to your own Google Maps on your phone 😁 (if you're as obsessive about vegan food touristing as I am)
So before I finish it up and post it, let me know what you want me to include! Any SLC vegan gems I can't miss?
Today's been an exemplary day. A productive 7 hour work day followed by a lovely vegan lunch at @bonobotribe's roof garden (literally - they grow their own produce!), apricot green tea and some Nietzsche and then sugar free crepes and a nice lengthy stretching session to shake off a busy weekend and get ready for an equally busy week! 💪 New blog post will be up tomorrow @medium. Very excited to share some thoughts on the gig economy with y'all.. woo!
This weekend the vegan hopper had a day trip to the Pearl islands in Panama. Pristine water, sandy beaches is just what I needed to escape the stress of the city and I believe I definitely have to plan a trip to stay longer! 😎🏝 #contadoraisland#islacontadora

Well I'm off for a few days to work in Germany. To make sure I have tasty options while I'm on the road I've spent the morning on meal prep. I can't wait to try these falafel wraps tomorrow. Seeded wraps topped with spinach, grated carrot and beetroot 🤗All I do is freeze half and they keep the rest of the food chilled on the journey.
Training call this morning, business launch this afternoon, but first ... me time 💕💕 This is why I love Sundays, I get to crawl back into bed with my chocolate smoothie and my book before starting the day 😍🙌 #youareabadass
#Vegan lemon poppyseed pancakes with coconut whip and berries from @moby's @littlepinerestaurant in #Silverlake , #LA . 😍🍓🥞 I've been Instagram-stalking Little Pine for months and the pancakes were definitely as delicious as I imagined. (Plus the side of maple tempeh bacon - so tasty!) My little vegan dreams came true - again! 😜😁😝
(And all profits from the cafe go to animal welfare organisations). Moby is definitely a kindred spirit 💜
I always said I don't want to be on a horse because of ethical reasons.. but since I'm in Iceland I see that they all are free spiritis here and play all together.. the Icelandic horses lay down when they're sleeping cause they are relaxed, instead of sleeping while standing because they are stressed.. They are just treated so well here and they live their lives in the wild nature.. you can really see that they have a thriving personality, so I said I would like to try it here actually! And today I got the chance and we did a very small circle together for a few minutes.. it was so calming.. stroking him was so healing as well.. I really miss being around animals! ♡ I hope one day I'll have the time to adopt a dog and give him a beautiful and adventurous life.. 🇮🇸
This place is said to be a close second best ftira bakery and their toppings were as fresh and tasty as at Maxokk Bakery but I didn't like their dough which was as 'cakey' as an overly crunchy dollar slice in NYC. Having said that I still recommend going if you can manage to eat two ftiras in a short time. If not just go to the other place @ Mekren's Bakery - In-Nadur - Gozo Island, Malta
Ftira is an old traditional Maltese dish. Similar to pizza it is not made with tomato sauce or cheese. This old family run place is considered the best ftira bakery in Malta. A 12" vegetable ftira costs 5.50€ @ Maxokk Bakery - In-Nadur - Gozo Island, Malta
