Taking @illoerdna_luap to my favorite spots to eat! Thanks to @veganatdisneyland I was able to bring him to one of the coolest spots. The sci-fi drive in. •••
It's soy milk, so not my absolute fave, but hey, it's a vegan milkshake in an otherwise entirely non-Vegan park. Our server offered a meeting with the chef, but o stated my case clearly, and made sure we were on the same page. When the drinks came out they had allergy markers in them! •
pro tip. If you use the Disney app, when making reservations, there is a spot for allergies to be checked off or written in. Even though you can speak with your server and the chef, I wanted it well know what I didn't want to see in my "food"
Most of the vegan options, if not all of them, are not found on either menu that they give you. When ticking off the allergy boxes the server handed us a special menu. Which still didn't help. So if you head over to @veganatdisneyland she has put together the food from each place in Disney that will serve us, which is how I knew I could order the shakes even though there is no "vegan milkshake" option on the physical menu.
I cannot even begin to describe the pleasure from this 100% vegan restaurant. Allthough I have eaten Marinara and French Fries for a week, I think I can still say objectively that the food here is superb
We’re definitely going to miss this place! Nature is so humbling - a reminder of what was there before us. 🌲
Jamison and I hiked five miles through redwoods along a stream and then went canoeing along Big River, where lumber was floated down to the mouth of the river to be transported to ships. Along the way we saw some seals frolicking along beside us! 🛶
