Within this very world filled with people of varying cultures and beliefs.
It can sometimes be hard to relate to others. However I hope you will figure out the enemy we have in common. One that I, to this day, continue to struggle with.
How old are you? How tall are you? How much do you weigh? How small is your waist? How large are your biceps? The distance between your thighs? The width of your chest? What is your body mass index? On a scale of 1-10, how hot are they? What did you get on that test? What is your IQ? The amount of likes on your last Instagram post? How many views, comments, retweets, shares, followers? Can't you see?
Numbers have completely taken over. They now dictate our lives, our every action. Tell me. Since when did we begin to measure our worth through numbers? How can you even begin to restrict your passions, dreams, happiness, dedication, strength, YOUR VALUE? Because of something like a number? We are all wonderful works in progress. We learn about different aspects of our personality, of our being, CONSTANTLY. And there is nothing wrong with that.
In fact, to push oneself to become better than you were yesterday- THAT is the greatest accomplishment one could ask for. Take ultimate pride in yourself, in your growth!Harness that initiative, that strive, and move forward. And believe me, although I say all this, I know how hard it is. Because, in this world of Kim Ks, Instagram, twitter, and so much more, it becomes easy to get caught up and start nitpicking on things appearances, materialistic things, and popularity.

Sometimes you just need a Roasted Veggie Roll 🍞🍄🌿😍 I just tossed some sliced zuchinni, capsicum, red onion and mushrooms in a mixture of balsamic vinegar, dijon mustard and evoo, sprinkled some garlic powder, sea salt and cracked pepper, and baked on a lined tray at 220°C for about 25 minutes... Sooo yummmmy 🙌🙌🙌 I was going to add some avo or hummus but this was delish as it was 😋 Happy Friday guys, I hope you all have a great weekend 😙😙😙 -
Pumpkin Frekkeh Salad
Mornin' Cakies 🤗, happy FRIYAAAY! 🎉
One healthy and delicious dish to finish the work week.
Perfect for a weekend brunch, I think. 😊
1 large pumpkin
2 red chili peppers, chopped
Ginger, about 3 cm, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
300 gr frekkeh
1 tbsp lime juice
Mint and coriander, chopped (topping)
50 gr pumpkin seeds
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and cut into cubes of 2 cm.
Put the pumpkin in an oven dish and mix with ginger, red peppers, garlic, olive oil and coriander.
Season with pepper and salt.
Put the dish in the oven. Bake the pumpkin for about 30 minutes.
Remove the pumpkin from the oven and allow to cool.
In the meantime, bake the pumpkin seeds into a dry frying pan until golden brown. Set aside.
Bring water to a boil and cook the frekkeh for about 20 minutes. Stir with a fork and let it cool.
Put the roasted pumpkin and the frekkeh in a large bowl. Add the lime juice and mix with the fresh herbs. Bring the salad to taste with pepper and salt.
Add the roasted pumpkin seeds and njoy. 😋
Talk soon, have a beautiful day 🌿love, Sofie
Avocado sauce? Yes please!!! 🥑 This was so simple, basically made the sauce in a food chopper and poured it over the cooked pasta! 😊 Here's the avocado cilantro pesto sauce with some bow tie pastas, chopped tomatoes and some lentils on some spinach 👌🏻🍃Have a great weekend!! 🤗
I'll never forget the day my girlfriend made me buffalo cauliflower from @hotforfood and the rest is history.
We usually make a variation of this at least once a week; whether it's buffalo wings, or sweet and spicy cauliflower steaks like this one topped with some homemade ranch and a little side of @earthbalance white cheddar puffs! 🔥🔥🔥
Be sure to head on over to @hotforfood to see all the delicious creations Lauren and John are making! #hotforfood

PD. En la noche escribo la receta del helado de ayer para que la preparen prontito! (Mi hermano la probó hoy y le encantó 😍👅)
Healthy cookies, anyone? 😋
These cookie squares are out of this world! They're sweetened with dates and that gives them a nutty-caramel-ish flavor 😍 yummm.
Double tap if you'd like the recipe for these babies 😍👅
P.S. In the night I'll write the proteic chocolate ice cream recipe so that you can make it ASAP! (My brother tried it today and loved it 👅🔝)
I needed a bowl of falafel, smashed po-tats, hummus, avocado, sweet corn, celery, cherry tomatoes, seasonings and a drizzle of olive oil to get me through my first parent meeting of the year. I figure, if I'm going to be leaving the school with empty pockets, I might as well go in with a full belly.
A lot of people seem to think of veganism as a religion. You're either in or out.
But in a world where obnivorism is so cemented into our traditions and knowledge sets, we believe it is better to educate and inspire people on the benefits of eating a vegan diet as often as they can if hardcore veganism isn't for them yet. Afterall, few would argue that more fruit and vegetables are bad for them!
Many just don't have the knowledge to create a healthy diet or simply do not see the point (reserved for the hippies); moreover, the choices are still limited. Veganism isn't for hippies any longer, it is for the educated man with access to quality produce. If every person educated themselves in terms of nutrition and ate vegan for just two days a week, the benefits to the environment would be considerable (we're talking about an impact that in the short term would exceed every person in the world trading in their cars for walking 7 days a week - scary when most people still think that transport is the primary reason for changes in the climate). Once people have the knowledge of how to eat vegan well and thrive beyond their current diet with plants, there really is no looking back. Everybody wants to be healthier and a growing number of people understand the journey we're on as a race, to reverse the current environmental state too and veganism encapsulates all this. It's a lifestyle change, but a prosperous one and it needn't be boring!
You can get everything you need from plants and the creative cooking process is endlessly exciting. Access to quality, unbias education is available on the likes of Youtube now for free and the most reputable make for an enjoyable watch. Give veganism a go, every time you decide to have a vegan day, you're making a difference, not just for yourself, but the planet and of course the welfare of animals too. Animals lovers, you have even greater reason to take care of what you put in your mouth from now on.
In this bowl is a maize couscous with fresh orange zest, chopped peppers, goji berries and celery, hot Cajun spiced chickpeas, cajun roasted butternut squash and a roasted carrot and garlic sauce.

When I was a kid I hated the color yellow so much that I cried in an angry rage when I got home from a trip to find our house had been painted.....a pale sunshine yellow. Now I'm kinda over it maybe because #turmeric is trending idk ⚠️
I also used to hate 🥑which is real proof that we are always changing!! 🌊
Anything you previously despised but have since grown UP about⁉️
Here's a big ol plate of greens and baked taters with homemade pickles, garden tomatoes and fresh corn, which I had with my current favorite salad dressing of tahini, dijon mustard, maple syrup, and lemon juice 😋🌱
no folks i am not a giant, these are baby pineapples! I am sure some of you have seen these before but are extremely hard to track down. grocery stores never carry these, i had to get some from a produce terminal. i bought them just to photograph but ill most likely end up making something out of them as well. i enjoy photographing ingredients if i can come up with a creative way of showing them. baby produce always make it less work for me. i am looking forward to also making some juice out of these as its been a while since I’ve had any pineapple. if you didn’t know fruit is a major part of my routine. there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t eat fruit in abundance. don’t sweat the “fruit sugars” eat as much as your heart desires my friends, it's natures candy!
sittin on the porch, drinking a few hot brews while listening to some good tunes has become one of my fav nightly routines. so, here's a handful of songs i've been listening to on repeat this month so far. dandelion wine - gregory alan isakov ✖ alright - keaton henson ✖ pictures - benjamin francis leftwich ✖ the runaround - mandoline orange ✖ to be young - tall heights ✖ swallow your pride - rhys ✖ first light - dustin tebbutt ✖ be good - max brodie, tom rosenthal ✖ flash in the pan - aliocha ✖ made of stone - missincat, robot koch ✖ after the moment - craft spells ✖ from the dining table - harry styles ✖ morning song - the lumineers ✖ curtain call - rosi golan. what are you listening to? i'd love to know. xx
Spent the better part of this afternoon cleaning my backyard. It's been pretty crappy here in NY these past few days and it needed some TLC. Once I built up an appetite, I decided on a fully raw lunch today. Had a mango (which btw, was perfect 👌), strawberries, cherries and a plum. How's everyone's day going?!
Throwback to a year ago when this cutie was helping Mo eat her smoothie. ❤ #smoothiebowl#smoothie : 1 cup raw hemp milk, sweet broccoli, 1/2 cucumber, banana, pear, 1 celery stalk, 2 tbsp chia seeds, @getrealnutr Multi Metabolite Immune, blueberries and @go_raw apple cinnamon granola on top 🌱 🌞 #lunch @redhautevegan

Had a simple oatmeal this morning, but boy would I have rather loved to have this breakfast bowl from the other day 😊 Papaya smoothiebowl with all the trimmings...plus my homemade hazelnut-cacao butter that makes everything just taste so much better 🌰🍫Who loves nut butter so much like I do? Let me know in the comments 👇

Have fun 🙋
Early morning messy hair green smoothie 🌱🌞
I finally uploaded my video (in german) about what I ate vegan at the hospital 👌
Since my surgery I'm trying to eat as nutrient dense as possible and green smoothies are great for that, because they are packed with all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients you need but still are sweet as a dessert 😍 so get yourself over the colour and the fact that there's spinach in there and drink your smoothies 🌱
