How old are you? How tall are you? How much do you weigh?How small is your waist? How large are your biceps? The distance between your thighs?The width of your chest? What is your body mass index? On a scale of 1-10, how hot are they?What did you get on that test?What is your IQ? The amount of likes on your last Instagram post? How many views, comments, retweets, shares, followers? Can't you see?
Numbers have completely taken over. They now dictate our lives, our every action. Tell me. Since when did we begin to measure our worth through numbers? How can you even begin to restrict your passions, dreams, happiness, dedication, strength, YOUR VALUE? Because of something like a number? We are all wonderful works in progress. We learn about different aspects of our personality, of our being, CONSTANTLY. And there is nothing wrong with that.
In fact, to push oneself to become better than you were yesterday- THAT is the greatest accomplishment one could ask for. Take ultimate pride in yourself, in your growth!Harness that initiative, that strive, and move forward. And believe me, although I say all this, I know how hard it is. Because, in this world of Kim Ks, Instagram, twitter, and so much more, it becomes easy to get caught up and start nitpicking on things appearances, materialistic things, and popularity.

Us 🖤@coley_coleman is the brains behind most recipes. I @jessicajayjames definitely do a few of my own recipes here and there- but Coley really creates the magic. I photograph the food and style it. Sorry we have been MIA. We are on the second to last day of beach life/vacation right now. We are truly looking forward to diving back into @kembakafe life once we return to Rochester! Strawberry and creams overnight oats with berry smoothie stars 🍓💖
1 cup rolled oats,½ cup vanilla yogurt,1 cup plant base milk, 1 tablespoon agave nectar, 5 to 6 strawberries (cut up into small slices)
Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix until combined. Cover and place in the refrigerator for overnight. Enjoy in the morning with some more fresh strawberries 🍓

How do you like your guacamole??? 😊😊😊 I like it with whole grain toast 🍞
For the guacamole you will need: 🌸 1 medium avocado 🌸 1/2 red onion 🌸 1 tbsp olive oil 🌸 pinch of salt 🌸 little pepper .
Avocados have a unique nutrition profile. They contain lots of fiber and are rich in vitamins and minerals, such as B-vitamins, vitamin K, potassium, copper, vitamin E and vitamin C. So eat avos because they are very tasty and healthy 😊😊😊😘😘💕

Dumplings (makes 3-4): 3-4 plums. 200g soy curd. 40g spelt semolina. 20g instant oats. 1 tbsp soy flour. 1-2 tbsp xucker.
Combine soy curd with semolina, oats, soy flour and xucker to a thick dough. Cut plums in half, remove the stone, put the plum halves together again and coat them with 1-2 tbsp of the dough per dumpling. Put the dumplings into a pot with boiling water, wait until they appear on the surface (takes around 10 minutes), take them out of the water and put them on a plate.
Cinnamon crumbles: 2 tbsp ground hazelnuts. 2 tbsp breadcrumbs. 1 tbsp cinnamon. 1 tbsp maple syrup.
Combine all ingredients and roast in a pan for some minutes until crispy. Set the crumbles aside.
Roasted plums: 4 plums. Juice of 1/2 orange. 1 tsp cinnamon. 1/2 tsp clove. 1 tsp xucker/agave syrup/maple syrup.
Cut the plums into quarters and fry them together with all the other ingredients in a pan until the liquid is absorbed and until the plums are soft, maybe add some water to make sure the plums don’t stick to the pan.
Vanilla sauce: 120ml vanilla almond milk. 1/2 tsp vanilla. 1 tsp cornstarch. 1 tbsp xucker/agave syrup.
Stir 50ml milk together with cornstarch, heat up the rest of the milk with vanilla and xucker in a pot and stir in the milk with the starch. Keep stirring and let simmer until the sauce gets thicker.
Sprinkle the cinnamon crumbles on the plum dumplings and serve with roasted plums and vanilla sauce. Done & enjoy!

A lot of people seem to think of veganism as a religion. You're either in or out.
But in a world where obnivorism is so cemented into our traditions and knowledge sets, we believe it is better to educate and inspire people on the benefits of eating a vegan diet as often as they can if hardcore veganism isn't for them yet. Afterall, few would argue that more fruit and vegetables are bad for them!
Many just don't have the knowledge to create a healthy diet or simply do not see the point (reserved for the hippies); moreover, the choices are still limited. Veganism isn't for hippies any longer, it is for the educated man with access to quality produce. If every person educated themselves in terms of nutrition and ate vegan for just two days a week, the benefits to the environment would be considerable (we're talking about an impact that in the short term would exceed every person in the world trading in their cars for walking 7 days a week - scary when most people still think that transport is the primary reason for changes in the climate). Once people have the knowledge of how to eat vegan well and thrive beyond their current diet with plants, there really is no looking back. Everybody wants to be healthier and a growing number of people understand the journey we're on as a race, to reverse the current environmental state too and veganism encapsulates all this. It's a lifestyle change, but a prosperous one and it needn't be boring!
You can get everything you need from plants and the creative cooking process is endlessly exciting. Access to quality, unbias education is available on the likes of Youtube now for free and the most reputable make for an enjoyable watch. Give veganism a go, every time you decide to have a vegan day, you're making a difference, not just for yourself, but the planet and of course the welfare of animals too. Animals lovers, you have even greater reason to take care of what you put in your mouth from now on.

no folks i am not a giant, these are baby pineapples! I am sure some of you have seen these before but are extremely hard to track down. grocery stores never carry these, i had to get some from a produce terminal. i bought them just to photograph but ill most likely end up making something out of them as well. i enjoy photographing ingredients if i can come up with a creative way of showing them. baby produce always make it less work for me. i am looking forward to also making some juice out of these as its been a while since I’ve had any pineapple. if you didn’t know fruit is a major part of my routine. there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t eat fruit in abundance. don’t sweat the “fruit sugars” eat as much as your heart desires my friends, it's natures candy!

Spent the better part of this afternoon cleaning my backyard. It's been pretty crappy here in NY these past few days and it needed some TLC.
