This is a family favourite and Master 6 will always ask "Is it fresh?"....absolutely, staight from the oven! Family favourite recipes can always be value added by using wholemeal SR flour, olive oil, extra fruit, almond meal (if school allows it) without full disclosure to the tasters NOT needed. 🍌😊 I also do this recipe in muffin or mini muffin cases...works fabulously.
Other value adding ideas for baking are pureed pumpkin, sweet potato, beetroot, apple and avocado

Between jet lag and a full work schedule I forgot that I would come home to no food. I've known about @countdown.nz home delivery for awhile now but never given them a whirl. Till today. Day 7 #raw food challenge:
THE FINAL HURRAH
I feel so good after this week and as much as i am thinking of my first cooked meal (chickpea stew, I think) I've really embraced this challenge and enjoyed the journey. Both Scott and are going to eat more raw food, perhaps breakfast and lunch and aim for a cooked dinner if needed. I've also loved some of the foods I've purchased (eg: raw crackers) so I've bit the bullet and purchased a dehydrator to make some of these and other items, like raw granola at home.
Overall, I feel as if the range of foods I'm consuming has increased as has my nutrients and my understanding of what my body needs. A real success story in my eyes. .
Final meals, excluding snacks (mostly fruit) are as follows. Full weekky summary on the blog this week. .
Breakfast: Super green smoothie of kale, spinach, spirulina, banana and almond milk .
Lunch: broccoli, bean, tomato, almond and chive salad
Dinner: Raw pizza base with kale pesto, avocado, macadamia cheese, sprouts, parsley, cherry tomato and herbs.
