I made my curry lentil soup twice this week, once for a client and once for myself. It’s so so soooo good, perfect for this autumn New York weather. I got called "the fat girl" in elementary school, and I have carried that identity with me ever since. 😭 Even within my business, it has been recommended to me that I "lean out" because that's what people want to see. 📸
But at some point I was like, ya know what? I don't really WANT to lean out!! I SAY I want that, but it would only be to people please. It's not ACTUALLY the desire of my heart. ❤️ The desire of my heart is to feel truly HEALTHY, CONFIDENT, and SEXY in a way that is balanced // I can maintain. And ya know what? I'm doing that!! 🙌🏻
Can I help you become leaner than I am if that's your goal? Absolutely!! I know exactly how to get there. I just don't want it badly enough to do the level of WORK it would take to get there. #TRUETALK 😜 But that's not really the message I'm here to share. 💁🏻
The message I'm here to share is that you can feel fucking AMAZING in your own skin, and you can get tone and strong and score self-esteem through the roof WITHOUT suffering. 🙌🏻 You don't have to never touch pizza again. You don't have to never drink another glass of wine. 🍷 You don't have to live on chicken breast and asparagus. You don't have to spend 2 hours a day, 6 days a week at the gym. You don't have to have a bunch of fancy equipment or skills. 💪🏻 And most of all, you don't have to obsessively count or weigh or stress yourself the fuck out over it.
You CAN have what you want and you CAN have it in a way that feels simple, efficient, and enjoyable. 😻 From "fat" to "fit," from body dysmorphia to self-love, from anxiety to peace. 🙏🏻 All in a way that felt honestly GOOD. A lifestyle I can EASILY and HAPPILY live. Forever.

Energy for days! 🔥💪 The texture of this unbelievably tasty and nutritious energy bar was something that I could never get exactly quite right again... 😅 I know all the ingredients I used but I just dont know how much of each one! 😩I hardly ever measure when making food, although for this I sure wish I did! 🤣 It was all so random but yet so perfect! So chewy, bendy and dreamy... 😋 just like one of those quest bars, but a much healthier version of course! 😍 Made with oats, dates, peanut butter, honey, cashews, almonds, goji berries, coconut flakes, chia/hemp/flax/pumpkin/sunflower seeds and a sprinkle of cinnamon! All made in a blender, no bake and so easy to make! 👊 The quantity/amount/ratio of all the ingredients used is so important to know well for stuff like this, as it makes a HUGEEE difference for the final outcome! 👍 Especially for the texture, feel, structure and even look of the end product! And this goes for all other foods too, not just energy balls/bars! 😝🙌 - I swear, im going to dedicate one whole day to finding out and perfecting this bad boy just the way I did the first time I made it! Yo Pumpkin! Are you causing climate change too? (Part II)
The pumpkin is indigenous to the Americas.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of tons of pumpkins are grown in North America. Most of these pumpkins are processed into canned products, turned into pumpkin flavored drinks or are used for decoration, especially in the fall.
Even though several million pumpkin seeds are processed as a byproduct of pumpkin production, the majority of pumpkin seeds sold for consumption in America are imported from China.
The way I see it, importing pumpkin seeds from China means the following: 🎃We actively participate in a global economy that creates food waste and increased ocean/air pollution for the transport of food items more easily and cleanly grown domestically. 🎃We ignore the potential economic and environmental boons that come from supporting alternative plant-based economies and local farms. 🎃We grant large companies and government entities the enormous privilege of deciding where our food comes from.
Pumpkins are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the irresponsible stewardship of resources on our planet.
Seemingly little things like this shed light onto the way our current economic systems and relative unconcern for where our food comes from play a major role in climate change, job shortages, global hunger and the unavailability of local and organic food for everyone.
My intention with this post is not to scare you away from eating pumpkin seeds, rather, I hope that the more we pay attention to what is in our food and where it’s coming from, the closer we might come to lightening the unnecessary burden of climate change and suffering on Mother Earth.
Therefore, no Pumpkin, you are not causing climate change.
We are… But there’s a galaxy of opportunity out there for human change to reverse climate change.

Clothes in our closet and drawers..
Food to nourish our body..
The ability to cook our food with the appliances we have..
Running water to shower, brush our teeth and clean our clothes with.. Yet we forget and don't show our gratitude by just saying "Thank You" and we complain about everything else we are missing from our lives.. Take a moment to say "Thank You". Make a list.
Stop yourself from thinking about everything you lack and celebrate everything in your life you have or KNOW you will have :) See how it affects the way you go about your life and maybe.. instead of wishing you were happy and having all these amazing things happening in your life like others you see on social media.. You will start bringing MORE good things into your life when you acknowledge the ALREADY good in your life <3 Try it!

STILL. AAAHHH!! 😩🙄🙅🏻We need a heavy duty dish washer so we can just throw the dishes in there and let it blast them clean instead of rinsing them all BEFORE they even get to the dishwasher. Seems like a time-waster to me. Lol Ooohhhh adulting. Hoje decidi fazer uma espécie de comida mexicana para o jantar, tudo vegetariano! Fiz guacamole, cilli sem carne (com feijão preto, grão de bico, cogumelos e cenoura), enchiladas de cogumelos e alho francês e fajitas com recheio de couve roxa e cenoura. As tortilhas também foram feitas em casa, com farinha de mandioca, sal, ervas e água!
Today I decided to make some mexican food, well, at least kind of! And everything was vegetarian 😊
Started with some guacamole, then some chilli without meat (with black beans, chickpeas, mushrooms and carrots), mushrooms and french leek enchiladas and fajitas with carrot and purple cabbage filling. The tortillas were made by me as well with some cassava flour, salt, some herbs and water. It was great!! 🔝😋😋
The gluten-free marinara sauce is full of good veggies ~ red cabbage, red onions, celery, carrots, yellow bell pepper and roasted tomatoes. All on a bed of gluten-free brown rice. Joined by spiralized raw beets, steamed broccoli, baked sweet potato and a cute little carrot rose!! #dreams#smellsdelish#gingersandspice#marinara
