Here are some of my thoughts on why being vegan can help with your total health, also to having a healthy earth, and to have happy living animals. maybe watch some documentaries on netflix and follow some vegan IG's for news and vegan recipes. #govegan It's not as hard as you make it seem in your head. "I feel sick if I don't eat meat". Those are just feelings you think you are having because you grew up eating meat. Vegetables have everything you say "only meat" has. From protein to calcium and also iron. (: There are plenty of "meatless" meats and non dairy alternatives. Try them and also see your body and skin change before your eyes. Here are some @netflix documentaries and movies that might help you eat healthier and grow a stronger love for animals that are raised for consumption: #okja#cowspiracy#forksoverknives#vegucated#babe#whatthehealth#fatsick &nearlydead #food ,inc. #veganeverydaystories#earthlings#peaceablekingdom
Typically the best way to tell if you’ve got a good hot sauce is if it pairs well with eggs. Well I never liked eggs and luckily tofu does the trick. My favourite hot sauce is this smoked onion with red jalapeño sauce but I can’t seem to start my morning without a little bit of habanero coffee 🌶
DAY 18 OF VEGANUARY
First and foremost, KUDOS to those of you who have made it this far through this #31dayjourney ! In an ideal world, it takes approximately 21 days to develop a habit and you are only 3 days away from that milestone! In my first attempts to transition to veganism (years ago), this day and the upcoming days were so challenging as there is so much temptation EVERYWHERE. I completely understand how difficult it is to reject butter for those dinner rolls or cheese on your pizza and whenever I felt myself about to cave in, I remembered those devastating images from @forksoverknives or the laundry list of ailments from eating animal products described in @vegucated. Before the newly popular @whatsthehealth documentary there was Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, Cowspiracy, Food Inc and countless informational documentaries that warned the American and global public of the over consumption of animal products. After watching each one of these films and being informed of the relationship between the meat and dairy industries and the American healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, it's very hard if not impossible to go back to being naive. So Day 18 serves a few purposes:
1.) #tbt and homage to the earlier vegan/vegetarian documentaries that are the backbone of this movement.
2.) A reminder to NOT GIVE UP because your life and your loved ones lives depends on it.
YOU GOT THIS!
P.S. Many of these documentaries are still on Netflix so please check them out... #vegan#veganism#plantbased#plantbaseddiet#wholefoods#health#veggies#fruits#veganuary#veganuary2018#foodinc#vegucated#forksoverknives#cowspiracy#fatsicknearlydead#whatthehealth#documentaries#netflix
I have been vegan for 15 years and would never preach about it because I didn’t want to be considered WERID or be that VEGAN girl. But oddly enough, I just became even more WERID as I got older haha! I’m tired of being silent while animals are being slaughtered, abused and tortured because it’s a social norm to eat meat! Murder is murder whether it be a human or an animal! #justsayin#veganism#fortheanimals#ethics#repost#eatlikeyougiveafuck#vegucated 🍃💯🐮🐷🐥
Get the green light
Dr Alison Sifton (aka @thevegmedic) has some good news if you're trying #Veganuary this month, or even you've ever just fancied giving veganism a go.
She informs that "it is possible to easily meet your daily protein requirements without consuming any meat whatsoever."
And that "incorporating a variety of protein sources into your diet is essential for your health"
"So many people believe that our sole source of protein comes from meat. Yes, meat does have a lot of protein but it is so important to incorporate plant-based protein into our food as part of a varied diet." 🍽
"This can be in the form of legumes, beans, soy derived products (soybeans, tofu), green leafy vegetables (spinach and kale), avocado, oats, quinoa, nuts and sesame seeds. In fact, it is entirely possible to easily meet your daily protein requirements without consuming meat whatsoever."
So if you're thinking of going Vegan or even if you're not, make sure you look to compliment any meat you do eat with plant based protein and the abundance of vitamins and minerals you'll take in, in the process.

April 2012 vs. January 2018. A lot of people assume I have never dealt with weight issues, and that I can’t possibly understand what they are going through because I’ve “probably never weighed more than 10 pounds my whole life” but that’s not true. Out of High School I was in charge of what I ate, and I had no idea what was actually good for me. In the picture on the left I weighed 165 lbs. Through healthy & conscious lifestyle choices I not only lost 45 lbs, but have kept it off for almost 6 years now. I’ve had my share of body dysmorphia, I’ve gone from one extreme to the other. I’ve been over weight from binging and then underweight from restricting. Today I am happy to say that I feel strong, i’m more balanced than I ever have been & the biggest influence in this confidence comes from maintaining a whole foods plant based diet. Eating nutritious foods has given me the energy to be active and maintain a physique I’m happy with that feels effortless. Everybody can do it. I’m not gonna lie, there is a huge learning curve when you first transition, but it becomes the easiest choice you’ll have ever made. Plant based is worth it. For your health, for the animals, for the environment. .
The best things in life are (cruelty)-FREE.💕
Like the feelings of love, fulfillment, peace and happiness.💖
This is my kitty, Dukki 🐥 in case you never met her before. ☺️😉 She looks like the most cuddly creature but really she is not!😂 She likes her space.👽But that’s ok, so do I. So even from a distant I still love her. My little fur child. She is 11 years old! Can’t even believe it, we got her when I was 12!😯 So there is some fun facts about my cat.🐱
I tried making pineapple fried rice 🍍 and even though it doesn't look the greatest it was really good! I first sautéed some onions with olive oil then I added bell pepper, zucchini, frozen peas and frozen green beans. Then I added fresh chopped pineapple, some spices, leftover forbidden rice from @lotusfoods and also some sunflower seeds 🌻 I love using pineapple in savoury meals 💛 #lotusfoods#riceislife#dothericething#ricelife
Which one do you like better?
Left 💙 or right 💜💖?
I love changing up my hair so I did the pink/purple yesterday but Idk I really love blue still. I will probably end up going back to blue! I’m just a bluenette at heart I suppose!💙😅
#CRUELTYFREE & vegan hair dye used as always.

If these 3 pics & quotes aren't powerful I don't know what is... pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, fish, lamb and turkeys all deserve equal respect that we give to cats and dogs. Just because we are so called on the top of the food chain because of intelligence doesn't mean we have to slaughter millions of animals for pleasure. Because again we are the one intelligent species.. and with these brains we're choosing to kill the earth. We are choosing great suffering. To me we are the biggest idiots. Maybe gorillas should rule the world. At least then there'd be no more cow pig and chicken slaughterhouses. The planet would be full of happy animals and lots of bananas. And our resources wouldn't be set to be depleted in 30 years. #govegan#oinkoink#savealife#endanimalabuse#endanimalcruelty#pigsareawesome#cowsarefriendsnotfood#cowspiracy#vegucated#planeat#foodinc#animallover#animalquotes
