I'm taking a risk. The risk of being told "Veronica, you're crazy! I can't do that. I've never done anything quite like that!" Well, my reply is: "It's the first time, for me and for you. Shall we take the risk together?" 🦄 🤗

Happy Tuesday! Took Monday off to refresh from a crazy past few weeks. Also, got my haircut yesterday. It was my first time in 10 years getting it done professionally! Nothing like a good cut to make you feel like a whole new person again.

Thank you to everyone that came by my stall at @perthupmarket last Sunday. I love that y'all are spreading the word about PF by gifting my ceramic pieces to your near and dear. As mentioned at Perth Upmarket the latest workshops will be live by tonight and judging by my inbox there's quite a few waiting for me to get my A into G and get on with it 🙊 Lastly, thank you for your support of @letsbehonestskincare it means more than you'll ever know. When I was a girl, I read fiction to feel less alone and to experience other lives. (I remember telling my mom one time how sad it was we could never live all the lives we'd experienced in books. I felt I'd lived a thousand lives because of reading. It felt so anticlimactic to get just one actual life in the end.)
When I became an adult, I started reading memoir for the same reasons: to feel less alone and to live other lives. Being that close to someone's real voice and experience felt so intimate. It was a privilege to be let in that close and to learn what they learned, simply because they chose to share it in such a generous way.
That's why I read memoir these days and why I read fiction from a young age. What about you? What are your reasons for reading either genre?
"The most beautiful and stirring adventure that can happen to you is the personal meeting with Jesus, who is the only one who gives real meaning to our lives" ~JPII
I love adventure, especially with my husband and boys! Over the weekend we went to McKinney Falls State Park in Austin, Texas. We'd never gone there before and through the trails we found these massive falls that poured into Texas sized swimming holes. It was gorgeous! It took every "mama's side eye" and "don't even think about it" to keep my oldest from barreling off the falls into the swimming holes. Adventure stirs something inside of us, something we can't quite put our finger on, and it makes us move. Why don't we move together? Let's bring our children, our families, our friends into our own personal adventure with Christ. Jesus is calling us into the greatest adventure of all, a journey with Him. Through that beautiful invitation, we find our meaning, calling and gifts. How can we share that with the ones closest to us? | photo by: @bethel
