A great line shot from @mimamirk_12 from @calvolleyball What we see here is a collapsed penultimate stride. She leads this stride with the head as opposed to the foot and hip. This puts her at a disadvantage on take off because she has to recover her torso to allow for a vertical take off angle. This is mechanically time consuming, which causes a slight speed decrease. Amazing attack though! 🚀🚀🚀

Arjen spent his University years playing for Michigan State University and is now playing for the @cfl's @officialedmesks.
He will be here as a Performance Coach during his off seasons and will also be doing Position Training.

RESISTED VERTICAL JUMP PROGRESS.
Week 4 of a 6 week cycle of resisted vertical jumps with @chriskourgelis. We started 4 weeks ago aiming to use a load that allowed Chris to achieve 55% of his max jump (10.3 of 18.7). Since then, Chris has been able to add 10 pounds to his jump load while being able to maintain a 3 jump set above an average of 10.3. These three jumps actually averaged a 10.76, so it's safe to say next week we will aim to increase 5 pounds or so. Excited to see where this lands him when we re-test in 3 weeks.
@camjosse interestingly enough 55% of his max jump is the 10-12 inches you have been using so I'm curious to see what happens if 55% is used on an athlete who's jump is over 30 inches. .
