I might not have as sweet tooth as Queen Victoria allegedly had, but I do love a nicely made sponge cake as much as the next girl. So today I decided to make one from scratch. For the filling I used the last Pink and Festive Jelly Jam I had left and I iced it with a light layer of -homemade of course-vanilla frosting. It tastes heavenly and since @panos_deligiannis is leaving early in the morning for Santorini and @jdeligiannis is not a big dessert fan, I’m afraid that I will have to eat it all by myself. Today started off with another nosebleed, a shitty mood & morons on the road, but after baking this I feel better 😌
The box said to bake for 22-27 mins so I went for 23mins 30 seconds...however, 22 mins would’ve been fine 🙄 but it looks & smells amazing 😋 I can’t wait to try some later!
