"Fuck it I'm a dreamer and I'm dreaming on."
This morning I started my day by watching one of @galadarling 's Facebook lives. I always love listening to what she has to say, and one of my favourite things she always talks about is learning to be grateful to relieve blocks and be happier with yourself. I know it sounds so cliche, but focusing on what I'm grateful for really does help put things in perspective. ✨I'm grateful for sun colors that make me happy✨my record collection that brings me endless joy✨being surrounded by bottles of paint, even if it means my desk is a mess✨music spanning decades that inspires me constantly✨having friends that pick me up when I'm feeling down with no hesitation✨small signs from the universe that everything's cool, even if it's just my favourite song playing on the radio✨. Mushy post over, promise. Just feeling very grateful and ready to push forward this mornin' ☀️☕️💛
David Bowie - Low (1977, 1982 RCA Best-Buy reissue)
The first of Bowie's 'Berlin Trilogy' produced by Tony Visconti with collaboration from Brian Eno. In my opinion, his best record ever, just ahead of Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory. Why? Bowie was at a 'low' point trying to kick his cocaine addiction, seeking solace in Berlin away from distractions. The album cover and the songs reflects this mood perfectly.
And what a schizophrenic LP. Side A kicks off with rocking but painful yearning tales. Speed of Life, Breaking Glass, Sound and Vision, Be My Wife. Clearly Bowie compositions. Side B is the real surprise and obvious Eno electronic/ambient influence. Warszawa is stunnning, as is the beautifully constructed Weeping Wall. This is music coming from a deep and personal place. A true work of art. An original album that was way ahead of its time. And still sounds unlike anything else. Bowie's crowning achievement!!.

#Nothing Like the Sun is the second solo studio album by English singer-songwriter #Sting . The album was originally released on 13 October 1987 on A&M (worldwide). The album explores the genres of pop rock, soft rock, jazz, reggae, world, acoustic rock, dance-rock, and funk rock. The songs were recorded during March–August in 1987 in sessions that took place at Air Studios, in Montserrat, assisted by record producers Hugh Padgham, Bryan Loren, and Neil Dorfsman. It features a number of high-profile guest guitarists, including former Police member Andy Summers, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, and Hiram Bullock, and is generally regarded as the culmination of the smoother, more adult-oriented sound of Sting's early work.
On release, the album was received favorably by the majority of music critics and in 1989. "We'll Be Together", "Be Still My Beating Heart", "Englishman in New York", "Fragile", and "They Dance Alone" were all released as singles.
It won Best British Album at the 1988 Brit Awards. In 1989 the album received three Grammy nominations including Album of the Year while the album's second single ("Be Still My Beating Heart") was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
The title comes from Shakespeare's Sonnet No. 130 ("My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun"), which Sting used in the song "Sister Moon". He added that his inspiration for this was a close encounter with a drunk, in which Sting quoted the sonnet in response to the drunk's importunate query, "How beautiful is the moon?"

"All These Men Are Just Boys, Seperate Them"
FINALLY I found the White album at a decent price and at a good quality. One of my biggest goals for my record collection is to own all the albums of the Beatles, because they are my favorite and because...Beatles. 🙎 The White album is commonly known as the album that signaled the end of the boys. Each song sounds so diverse because well, it just seems like each boy retreated to their own space with their own creative direction, it's four solo artists making an album. 🙌I have a special edition of the Rolling Stone magizine called "The Beatles-The Ultimate Album-by-Album Guide" The description of boys in the White Album chapter is so perfect when it comes to this album, " You get John the burgeoning radical and avant-gardist, Paul the superhuman songsmith, George the enlightened being and moralist, Ringo the goofy mascot and peacekeeper. " But even Ringo couldn't keep the peace when it came to making this album, he even left the band momentarily! 🙏But the boys were determined so they took a retreat to India to find themselves as a band and some peace. They didn't really find peace, but they did find some creative influence. The boys learned new guitar techniques whilst meditating and when they got back home to England they gave it a try on this album. 🙋Some of my favorites on the album are, "Dear Prudence", "Happiness Is a Warm Gun", "Blackbird", "Rocky Raccoon", "I Will", and "Mother Nature's Son" #vinyljunkie#vinylcollector#ilovevinyl#vinylporn#thebeatles#nowspinning#whitealbum#iloverecords#vinyloftheday
#FeltMountain is the debut studio album by English electronic music duo #Goldfrapp released on 11 September 2000 by Mute Records.
The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer).
Felt Mountain peaked at number 57 in Goldfrapp's native United Kingdom, and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in October 2001. It was generally well received by music critics, and it was described as "simultaneously smarmy and seductive, yet elegant and graceful". Goldfrapp signed a recording contract with London-based record label Mute Records in August 1999. The pair began recording their debut album over a six-month period, beginning in September 1999, in a rented bungalow in the Wiltshire countryside. The recording process was difficult for Alison Goldfrapp, who was often alone and disturbed by the mice and insects in the bungalow Gregory described their recording sessions as intense because he was unaccustomed to composing with others. Goldfrapp contributed the album's lyrics, and Gregory and Goldfrapp composed the music together. The lyrics are abstract obsessional tales inspired by films, Goldfrapp's childhood, and the loneliness she felt while recording the album. Musically, the album takes influence from a variety of styles including 1960s pop, cabaret, folk, and electronica.
