Be thankful. Every day. For everything you can think of. For the people you love and then for every little blade of grass, too. Be overwhelmed by it. It will change your life.
Howl it at the moon and sun and sky, at the seven seas and the fruit-trees and the ghosts of dead poets. Make sure you say it to yourself, your senses, your sight and sound and touch, and to your own body, all 7,000,000,000,000,000,000 beautiful atoms of stardust carrying you across this planet. Announce it to the planet too, this earth that spins in one of 2 trillion known galaxies, this earth that pushed mountains up out of the stone and made diamonds out of carbon and grew little jungles in the middle of the ocean. Thank your lucky stars and God and the trees that give you air to breathe and all the people that have ever loved you.
I think it is one of the great secrets to life, perhaps. Just being thankful. Grateful. Easily amazed.
