A few years ago, I found myself traveling through London visiting as many museums as possible, trying to see all the artworks I had admired as a child. At the time, I had recently started art school and honestly didn't know if things were going to work out… was I gambling a future in Finance for this impossible dream of being an artist? Did I make the right decision?
One of the museums I was really taken by, was the London Transport Museum. Walking through the exhibits of buses, trains, and the underground, I found myself in a gallery celebrating the year's best transport posters—I was thinking to myself: "will my work ever be good enough to go up on these walls? Maybe in 10 years? Maybe in 15 years?" This year another exhibit has popped up, and I am so lucky to be a part of it!
If you are ever in the area, the Sounds of the City exhibit will be on display at the London Transport Museum until September. I honestly still cannot believe this and thank my lucky stars for not turning back all those years ago...
Lineart for another painting, the last one I'm doing to close off my Woolgathering vis dev portfolio. Need to move on to something new.. Tho I'm sure I'll return and create lots more paintings for my IP in the future
