Y’all 😭❤️ I legitimately have the greatest couples ever and I truly couldn’t be more grateful. John and Sonia are on the blog today and they are actual #goals so you should take a peek! ;)

Life is short.
I'm realizing that more and more lately. I've been taking a lot of time personally lately to refocus on what really matters. In the end, I'm not going to remember the exact percentage I received on my Accounting exam, and I surely won't still be annoyed with getting that parking ticket one minute after my parking meter ran out. It's so easy for me to focus in on the minute details sometimes instead of the big picture.
I realized though that down the road, I'll look back and remember the intentional friendships I formed, the encouragement and joy that I shared with others, and how they shared those things with me, too. I'll remember the community that I so enjoyed being a part of, etc. etc. The list goes on and on.
As this part of the year tends to be a crazy time for myself and most everyone I know, I want to encourage you to not let the small things get you down. Focus on the big picture & let lasting things be your focus. ❤️📸: @joshuamccle

Kids really do say the darnedest things... read the answer to #10 on Jennifer G.'s #MeetOurSitters blog interview to see the funniest thing a kid has said to her while babysitting! Welcome to the team, Jennifer G.! - stlsitter.com/blog
This is my background screen and I thought I would share because I’m still that obsessed. The travel bug is a REAL thing, you guys (send help). I’m trying to decide how obnoxious it would be to plan two trips to Banff in one year?! 🤷🏼♀️ But honestly can you blame me?? Also one of these days when I get my life together, I’m going to write a blog post about our trip and how the whole thing cost us less than $600 each (minus food & gas!!). Get stoked, y’all. ✌🏼 Happy Tuesday!
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” - Winston Churchill
Be willing to stand up and take action when you see oppression and injustice. But also always be willing to sit down across from the table from someone that you disagree with and listen to their point of view. Building empathy is a powerful tool that can transform communities.
