Yep... I went there. Let's be honest. We all fart! We all have to take a 💩! But with surgery you body is different. Those intestines don't work like they is to right after surgery. They are kinda sleepy. But you gotta wake them up. For me: I used Gas X, Milk of Magnesium and Magnesium Citrate. I'm one week and 3 day post op and there is no gas in the belly!!! THANK GOODNESS!
I'm ready for Sunday dinner with the 'rents tomorrow. They're cooking the dry rubbed ribs and I'm bring Keto compliant sides. Swipe to see the ingredients for the coleslaw. Then, keep swiping to see the Allrecipes recipe that I used - just swapped out steamed cauliflower for the 🥔s. 👌🏻
NSV: These shorts fit! They stayed in the dresser all last summer because they wouldn't button. Today, I remembered they existed and put them on not expecting much, but BAM here they are (with a little muffin top).
I've recently discovered that I do actually like hummus. Especially lemon or garlic flavor with celery, nom nom nom! Anyway, I'm hesitant to try new brands and flavors since I'm a cheapskate and don't want to waste $ on something I may not like, but #Aldi to the rescue! I found this 4 flavor pack for like $3.99. I've never liked the flavor of peppers, but I actually really like the roasted red pepper hummus. It may even be my favorite of the 4 flavors. 😳 I eat it with celery or cucumber slices usually, and at about 1g of protein per Tablespoon, it's a pretty good snack option. #vsg#vsgeats#vsgfood#bariatriceats#bariatriclife#wlsurgery#whatsforsnack
Tried shirataki noodles with dinner tonight. Not my favorite noodle replacement but good enough...especially with that nutrition label. I'm not cooking right now, so once I feel better and can doctor them up, I bet they could be really good. Im thinking Thai peanut sauce type dish.
So approx 50 days ago, I transitioned to a Plant Based diet. It has truly been awesome!!! I've had so much fun learning and cooking new recipes. I've done my best to stay away from fake meat and cheese. I'd prefer to eat whole foods. That said, I've tried fake cheese once, fake chicken once and now......fake hamburgers. These were AMAZING!!!! I won't make this a habit. I prefer my own bean burgers, just because I am in control of what goes in them. BUT.....if I'm feeling naughty, or am in a hurry/bind, these will do the trick!! The flavor and texture is SPOT ON!!!!! #plantbased#veganeats#plantbaseddiet#vsgeats#tinyhouseeats#fakemeat#cheating#unbelievable
