From time to time, my feed may seem to be on pause, especially when I'm busy teaching (or otherwise physics-ing). I never usually worry about it too much on other platforms, as there's plenty of information overload to go around, but I've been enjoying my Instagram debut so much that I'm missing having interesting visual things to post. I'll confess, it's not so long ago that I didn't really get the purpose or the point of Instagram: I didn't get why a predominantly photo-sharing social medium was needed, when you could already share photos on Facebook and Twitter. I was even more bemused when Facebook took over Instagram, but chose to preserve Instagram and its identity. I think I'm starting to get it now. Clearly, so did Facebook. It's not something which can be easily put into a box. It's a unique cross-section of the interweb. It's a social medium which forces all of us to be artists: we can't hide behind a keyboard without also hiding behind a lens. I've been introduced to new music and new poetry that I'd never have heard or seen otherwise, and vice versa. Waffles con frutas de estación!
Receta para 1 waffle doble:
190 cc de leche
50 gr de manteca derretida
1 taza (120 gr) de harina común
1 cucharadita y media de polvo de hornear
1/2 cucharadita de sal
1 cucharada de azúcar
Esencia de vainilla una gota.
Batir el huevo hasta que se blanquee y haga espuma.
Agregar la leche, la manteca derretida y la esencia de vainilla.
Sumar a la preparación los ingredientes secos previamente tamizados y mezclar con espátula hasta lograr una preparación homogénea.
Cocinar en wafflera. (También se puede hacer en una sartén.) Decorar a gusto con frutas, crema, dulce de leche, etc.

My weekends are always filled with activities - today Bootcamp at CrossFit then 4 hours at a yoga shoulder workshop, so if I fancy a dessert I'll have one 😊
