'My sandpaper sigh
Engraves a line
Into the rust of your tongue
I could've been someone
Would have painted the skies blue
If you knew
You swing my way
I've got no chance
And nothing to say
Here for a while
But if only
You could see
My shadow crossing your path
It won't be the last

Detail from one of my favourite project.
My client has a very big love of doors. And she has a lot of photos of doors from places she traveled. So she asked me to re-create one of them in watercolors.
We discussed together what exactly she wants me to paint and as a result, I depicted Art nouveau window detail of the Hotel Central in Prague.
Since I am in love with Prague and the Art Nouveau style, I was very excited because of the assignment.
Thank you very much, Melissa, it was a very pleasant work for me.❤️

I painted this in July when I was feeling really inspired by classic fairy tale illustrations (I adore the whimsical work of Kay Nielsen and Edmund Dulac). Since then, I’ve been experimenting a lot, and I’m still not entirely sure about the direction that I want to take in terms of artistic style. What I’m trying to remind myself, though, is that I need to be patient. It’s more productive to focus on developing my skills than to stress out about securing a cohesive “style.” What matters the most is that I’m continually learning and growing 〰️
