Migration Motivation - sometimes it takes sleeping in the truck. Getting up 2 hours earlier to setup a couple extra hundred late season decoys. Hundred of miles of scouting and traveling. Running on adrenaline, no sleep and gas station coffee, whatever it takes to get to where the birds want to be and be ready for a great show. Do you sometimes get that feeling of remorse after dropping a couple birds? I do. - And I actually think it's a good thing. I respect and love the animals I hunt. All the way down to the meat they provide. I am not heartless- These beautiful creatures provide sustenance for me. That means a lot. I know where my meat comes from. It's gratifying.
- there are so many split second moments in duck hunting that make it so special. You really put in work physically and mentally to put together a good hunt this time of year. With temps starting to drop, it was about 2 weeks from now we were busting shoreline ice to get to our spots last year. Cold hands, frozen call reeds, warm coffee and a handful of birds. The rest of the season will be something great.- #Octoberfest
Been doing a little filming while scouting for the up coming waterfowl season. So I thought I'd put a quick clip together to kick it off. Even though we have been hit with a 3 goose limit I won't be stopped this season from experience what the top end has to offer. #waterfowlhunting#fowltalkers#fieldandgame#hunting
