when you get home & you're hangry af for some pasta 🙂 whipped this lil bowl together of penne, marinara, chickpeas, corn, black beans, nooch, & other seasonings and made a little side salad of spring greens, cucumbers, & a drizzle of Italian dressing. toooo good! I packed up the other half of the pasta for tomorrow!

🏓That's it. Go out and try it. Track your calories. Not half assed. Track them meticulously. Eat the foods other people have told you inherently make you fat. You don't need to eat *only* those foods. But incorporate them in your diet. Just have em in there.

🥕Do that while tracking your calories consistently for 3 months straight and stay on point. Track your progress. Weight. Measurements. Pictures. Track it all. Doesn't work? Cool, have your answer. It does work? Awesome, now you know.

This might be of interest to those of you in Nigeria because these pumpkins, especially the first which I think is called Anyu in Igbo grow locally and we had them as kids. They work great in place of potatoes. The Butternut squash is a bit sweet but is a hit with children #Repost @drnadolsky (@get_repost)

While there are numerous sources of foods that allow you to eat more for fewer calories, my favorite by far is winter squash. Kabocha specifically. So much so that I ate it every single day for years and my hands ended up turning orange. 
#
While butternut and spaghetti squash are pretty common and can be bought year round, there other more obscure varieties that taste just as good if not better, and are still incredibly low in calories and carbs, meaning you can eat way more than you could with other sources of starch, like say, potatoes.

Here’s a list of all the ones that are in season right now, along with the corresponding calories and carbs. Note that I did choose raw weight for accuracy, as the nutrition facts can change depending on cooking method.

You should be able to find most, if not all, of these in stores over the next few months, and if so, I encourage you to give them a try!

Our man Dan here is getting ready for his wedding (indeed he just had his Stag last weekend)

He started working with us 6 months ago and has lost 15cm from his stomach, 14cm from his waist and 8 kilos.

Today's workout was upper body. I know that Elle has the 90/10 rule but I have to workout if I want to accomplish a lifestyle change. I don't feel like I am doing enough if I don't workout. How about you all #elleiparmy ? I am not a pro but I try to be focused and have a good form, I google stuff up and educate myself. I like low intensity and at a slower pace resistance workouts rather than bouncing around like crazy at cardio, sweating bullets and having shortness of breath. 💪💪💪

I remember the days of waking up at the crack of dawn to do fasted cardio, eating like a bird because I believed it was the only way to get lean, and basically hating my life as a result. These days I eat only foods I like, enjoy the way I train, and love every minute of the process. Which makes being consistent a whole lot easier.
