If you were to tell me years ago that I'd be able to do a push up and throw myself in the air I'd of laughed... Reason being, I couldn't do one !
Once upon a time I couldn't even do one push up !
I remember putting on my running jacket, going for my run (which I was also terrible at at the time) getting back & doing push ups against the wall to begin with, until eventually I built up the strength to do actual push ups eventually.
It didn't happen overnight, but with daily practice and as I started losing weight, they became "easier" (still not easy) over time.
See I wasn't really paying attention to how far away I was from doing a flying push up, I just focused on the challenge in front of me; to do 1 push up!
From there it became 2,3,4 & so on.. I think many of us set too high an expectation and think "there's no way I can do that"
Truth is, you probably could do a flying push up too in a year or 2, problem is you limited yourself by thinking "not a chance". But if you just focused on doing one more push up each day and just focused on the small things, you'd probably be able to do it!
A lot of us are looking up at how high the mountain is, when really we should be looking down at the next step (metaphorically speaking). This translates to losing weight, we think it's "too late" to do anything when really if we focused on losing a little bit every day, we'd be a new person in a months time !
You might have something in your head you really want to do; a 5k, lose 3 stone, ride a skateboard or even be able to do 10 jumping jacks ! Problem is you haven't started because you think it's "too late". And that's totally untrue, of you start with something right now, you're an inch closer & in a week, 7 inches, a month, 30 inches a year, 365 inches!

Found these yummy brownies, a healthy snack. 155 calories for a bar, and all great ingredients. I bought them in Tesco, on offer. 😊 There are two flavours, this one, peanut and chocolate chip and the other is almond and raisin. Delicious 😋

Pensiamo alle nostre nonne e bisnonne: avevano una pelle più resistente della nostra, meno soggetta a smagliarsi rispetto alle nuove generazioni.
Merito di un'alimentazione più sana e in cui certi additivi, pesticidi, coloranti e conservanti non abbondavano.
Una corretta alimentazione è fondamentale per prevenire le smagliature, consumare abitualmente cibi che rendono la pelle più sana facendole arrivare le sostanze nutritive necessarie per stimolare la produzione di collagene e rallentare l'invecchiamento.
Le smagliature si formano sui punti in cui la pelle è stata sottoposta a maggior tensione (ad esempio durante la crescita, oppure in gravidanza) e per prevenirle è necessario mantenere la pelle idratata.
Bevendo molta acqua e consumando cibi ricchi di Betacarotene, vitamina C, A ed E, selenio, magnesio, zinco, contenuti in grumi, fragole, kiwi, peperoni, cavoli, broccoli e prezzemolo, uova, pomodori, carote, mais, pesche, albicocche, meloni, cereali integrali, pesce come salmone, aringhe, tonno, acciughe, sardine, nocciole, olio extravergine d'oliva, noci e frutta secca in guscio, olio di germe di grano, soia e derivati, verdure a foglia verde, frutti di mare.
Posso confermare tutto questo perchè soltanto mangiando in modo sano e consumando ogni giorno 30 tipi di frutta e verdura, (senza utilizzare alcuna crema o olio durante tutto il periodo della gravidanza), sono riuscita ad evitare la comparsa delle smagliature. Semplicemente fantastico!!!! 🌺

While I don’t like to classify protein powders as supplements because of their food-like macronutrient composition, they are undoubtedly the most popular product in the supplement industry. This popularity has led to every company under the sun developing ultra-special formulas from every source imaginable. You can find dairy-based whey, egg, soy, hemp, pea, blends, and more. In addition to the source, these have different classifications like concentrates, isolates, hydrolyzed, cross-micro-cold-filtered, and other crazy terms.
So, what’s the difference?
As you can probably guess by now, the difference is slight. Every source will be coveted as the holy grail of protein, but whey seems to reign supreme. The amino acid content – or the building blocks of protein – of whey outshine other sources in terms of favorability for muscle hypertrophy and recovery. Unless you’re avoiding animal products or lactose, you should go with whey. If you go with a plant-based protein, I’d suggest a blend.
As for the fancy filtration and processing, the differences between absorption rates seem to be too small to justify the increase in price. Unless you’re an elite athlete, the potential benefits of fancier processing methods aren’t worth your time or money.
Note: I do recommend a whey isolate like Hydrowhey because of its improved digestion in those with lactose intolerance or even the borderline intolerant. You also get fewer carbs and fats with most isolate powders. And as far as price goes, keep reading.
The number one thing I can recommend is to look at the price per serving, price per 25g of protein, or even price per gram of protein. As you can see in the images below, you can break the price down as far as you want to get an accurate view of what you’re paying for protein. Sometimes, the price per serving could be skewed by the actual protein per serving. Your goal with protein powder should be to get one thing – protein – and nothing else.
