This was hard.
I’ve fallen more times than I care to admit.
I thought about quitting.
I’ve learned hard lessons beyond weight loss.
I’ve lost friends and relationships.
I’ve made new friendships & relationships
I’ve been broken down and tested.
I’m not going to say “it’s worth it” because we already know that. However i am going to tell you get ready to “lose” but moreso get ready to GROW
Gym? Who needs a gym when I just utilize my grammas entire building whenever I visit her 👌🏽😝 got that good cardio/leg burn in the other day💪🏽 45 min workout narrowed down to a 45 second video
I only do 4 moves in this workout but that was seriously all I needed. Used my own body weight. I ran what felt like a mile long hallway back and forth. The four moves I did were •“Hand walks” 12x3 (left hand, then right hand is counted for 1) this move is way harder for me than it looks..do not be fooled!
•Jump squats 12x3
•Side squats 10x3
•4x Sprints- (not really “sprints” per say... y’all know all I do are quick shuffles lmao but I did my best!!)🤗🤣🤣 oh and from one end to the other counts for 1.
If you want it bad enough, no matter what, you’ll make a way. I’m a firm believer of getting it done by all means necessary. This workout kicked. my. ass.
No matter where it comes from, a calorie is a calorie, and it takes 3,500 calories to gain or lose a pound. Want to shed a perfectly respectable 1 pound per week? Carve 500 calories off your day by thinking through your healthy food choices and upping your exercise. To make calories count, choose nutrient-rich healthy foods with a mix of protein, carbs and fats at every meal for an overall balanced healthy diet.
Eat plenty of healthy foods full of the six nutrients to aid in weight loss. If you focus more on your health and less on your waistline, you will automatically eat more low-calorie, nutrient-packed healthy foods, like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nonfat dairy products and legumes, which help you maintain your weight and fill you up faster for longer on fewer calories. The best way to keep your metabolism revved and body-fat levels low is to feed yourself in small amounts. Eat airline-size (rather than restaurant-size) portions of healthy foods like meat, fish, pasta, grains and desserts. And eat every three to four hours, for a total of five mini-meals per day.
For energy, satisfaction, staying power and good health, aim to eat a healthy balance of protein (15-20 percent of your total daily calories), fat (less than 30 percent of your total daily calories) and carbohydrate (50-55 percent of your total daily calories) each day. Rule of thumb: Fill three-quarters of your plate with plant foods, leaving the rest for small amounts of fish, nonfat milk products and nuts or seeds.
How you eat is as important as what you eat. Lets be healthy with MRP DIET SOUP.

#motivationmonday after this week's weigh in (gained just under a pound) I was a little frustrated because I didn't lose the weight I wanted to on the scale. Before, this would have made me want to eat my frustrations and self-medicate with food. But not anymore!! Now it's motivation and fuel for me! Last week, I had a really high number on the scale following thanksgiving (-8.2 lbs.). And this past week my workouts were intense and on point. For the lack of weight loss, that means I need to be even more dialed in with my nutrition and eating. And maybe even change up my calorie deficit. Don't let imperfection get you down, it's a process. Stay focused on your goals and keep moving forward. Don't quit! Never give up. I am going to think about this quote all week! I hope it finds you well!!! Let's make it the best day of the week!!
I recently did an interview where the anchor asked me what differentiates a great trainer.... My response was implementing a specific mindset in a client that changes their life. Anyone can change a body with time, but when the trainer isn't around and the client's mind is so strong that their mentality has changed... that's when I know I've completed my job... Fitness is supposed to be fun... it's not torturing your body, but celebrating levels that one thought they couldn't achieve... ❤️ Shoutout to great trainers @gymjonez @iamtherealdp @megan_renee316 @dev1fit @ib_yo_trainer @legionfitnesselite @qimmahrusso @massy.arias
My favorite way to start the day. I was glad to be able to ditch my grocery store creamer and this is actually doing something good for my body! .
Fuels up my brain with healthy fats in the form of MCT oils.
Heals my gut, helps with wrinkles, improves my joints all thanks to collagen. .
Repairs DNA with AC-11.
All that in my coffee that I have daily basically because coffee is life. 😁
And the Keto Kreme is 12% off today so that's always fun. Love all the daily specials we are having during our 12 Days of Better! 🎄

📍REASONS TO LOSE WEIGHT📍
I know I talked about this topic in yesterday's post, but I want to again because:
1. Yesterday's post was a selfie, and seeing my face that close up may have given some people the heebie-jeebies
2. Frankly, this topic's important enough to talk about every single day
Most people start losing weight with hopes to "fix" themselves as a person.
They don't feel like they're good enough.
They don't love who they are right now
They're not happy with themselves.
And so the thinking is that losing weight is the only way to flip the script.
They don't feel like they're good enough, but if they lose weight then they will be! They don't love who they are right now, but if they lost weight they'd finally be able to!
... you get the point.
Well, I've got a truth pill for you that might be hard to swallow. The truth is that there's no weight, dress size, waist measurement, progress pic, or external validation that's going to fix the way you think of yourself.
Sure, those things can help... maybe even serve as a bandaid for a bit of time...
But at the end of the day, YOU are the only thing that can change your mind. And the best part is you have the power, right meow (😺), to do it.
You are good enough
You should love yourself at this moment
You should be happy with who you are
When you start to think that way, something magical happens 🦄...
Once you STOP motivating yourself to lose weight for negative reasons and, instead, do it from a place of already being happy, but wanting to improve and better yourself, everything is easier.
And it all comes down to the fact that you no longer stress about looking a certain way or weighing a certain amount or doing it in a set amount of time. You're focused on doing your best each day and making sure to enjoy life in the process.
