Gym? Who needs a gym when I just utilize my grammas entire building whenever I visit her 👌🏽😝 got that good cardio/leg burn in the other day💪🏽 45 min workout narrowed down to a 45 second video
I only do 4 moves in this workout but that was seriously all I needed. Used my own body weight. I ran what felt like a mile long hallway back and forth. The four moves I did were •“Hand walks” 12x3 (left hand, then right hand is counted for 1) this move is way harder for me than it looks..do not be fooled!
•Jump squats  12x3
•Side squats  10x3
•4x Sprints- (not really “sprints” per say... y’all know all I do are quick shuffles lmao but I did my best!!)🤗🤣🤣 oh and from one end to the other counts for 1.
If you want it bad enough, no matter what, you’ll make a way. I’m a firm believer of getting it done by all means necessary. This workout kicked. my. ass.

#motivationmonday after this week's weigh in (gained just under a pound) I was a little frustrated because I didn't lose the weight I wanted to on the scale. Before, this would have made me want to eat my frustrations and self-medicate with food. But not anymore!! Now it's motivation and fuel for me! Last week, I had a really high number on the scale following thanksgiving (-8.2 lbs.). And this past week my workouts were intense and on point. For the lack of weight loss, that means I need to be even more dialed in with my nutrition and eating. And maybe even change up my calorie deficit. Don't let imperfection get you down, it's a process. Stay focused on your goals and keep moving forward. Don't quit! Never give up. I am going to think about this quote all week! I hope it finds you well!!! Let's make it the best day of the week!!

I know I talked about this topic in yesterday's post, but I want to again because:

1. Yesterday's post was a selfie, and seeing my face that close up may have given some people the heebie-jeebies 
2. Frankly, this topic's important enough to talk about every single day

Most people start losing weight with hopes to "fix" themselves as a person.
-
They don't feel like they're good enough. 
They don't love who they are right now
They're not happy with themselves.
-
And so the thinking is that losing weight is the only way to flip the script.
-
They don't feel like they're good enough, but if they lose weight then they will be! They don't love who they are right now, but if they lost weight they'd finally be able to!
-
... you get the point.

Well, I've got a truth pill for you that might be hard to swallow. The truth is that there's no weight, dress size, waist measurement, progress pic, or external validation that's going to fix the way you think of yourself.

Sure, those things can help... maybe even serve as a bandaid for a bit of time...
-
But at the end of the day, YOU are the only thing that can change your mind. And the best part is you have the power, right meow (😺), to do it.

You are good enough
You should love yourself at this moment
You should be happy with who you are

When you start to think that way, something magical happens 🦄...

Once you STOP motivating yourself to lose weight for negative reasons and, instead, do it from a place of already being happy, but wanting to improve and better yourself, everything is easier.

And it all comes down to the fact that you no longer stress about looking a certain way or weighing a certain amount or doing it in a set amount of time. You're focused on doing your best each day and making sure to enjoy life in the process.

Me trying to get mentally prepared for my working sets today.... a lot of people lately have been asking me how I train to lose all my weight. I have a couple vids that go into detail about it, but I am reminded of something I heard a couple weeks ago from @thefatadaptedathlete ... “don’t start at someone else’s middle” .... if you have a lot of weight to lose, trying to go from couch to doing two workouts a day is likely going to burn you out.

For me I just focused on two things in the beginning: 1. Get into the gym 4 days per week... even if I feel like crap and don’t want to workout I get my ass up and get in there. A shitty 20 minute workout is better than no workout at all. 2. Just get more active, walk places you might have driven before... take short walks at lunch, a walk in the evening, heck extra walks to the break room at work.... all these little things add up at the end of the day.

Vern and I are wrestling this morning. I’m like “I don’t wanna throw penguin” and he’s like “you’re gonna throw penguin” and then we stare, he growls and I throw. 🙄

Here’s some random facts about me you may not know:
1. I’ve never had a live tree. I say every year we’re going to change that but #allergies and #easybutton
2. I used to have a nose ring and love a good nose ring.
3. I never had a inside pet until Vern and Peggy.
4. I cried for weeks when my youngest nephew was born because I wanted him to be a girl. 😂
I was like ten, not like last week. 😂
5. I rode the bus in kindergarten for a very short time but the boy I sat beside picked his nose and ate chapstick and I told my mom and she didn’t make me ride the bus ever again.
6. Peggy is perfectly behaved. We got her when she was 6 months. Vern is a turd, we got him at 6 weeks.
Pray for our children.
We’re not good at this.
7. I used to hate purple passionately.
In the past year, I kinda love that color.
8. I really like to wrap presents.
9. I really like to do nails too. (I went to hair school and can paint a mean fingernail)
10. I think belts make you sweat.
And lotion. I hate both. 🙄
