DAY 1/21✔ of my new workout program that incorporates cardio AND weights🏋️‍♀️! This will be my third round of this program. The last time I did it I built up a lot of muscle💪 in my upper body so my goal is to do that again. I honestly didn’t think the cardio workout I did this morning was gonna be enough because it was only 25 minutes...but it kicked my ass🙈 lol! 😂😂
Glad I got my workout done and out of the way so I can enjoy my day off😁! Going to run some errands and then head over to my parents’ house with Bacardi🐶!

I used to feel like weekends are just to sleep in and let go of any restrictions and just live it up. Yes, its ok sometimes I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️, but usually when I did that I wouldn’t stop on Sunday... I would continue to “live it up” throughout the week and next thing I knew ... it had been a month of poor choices ! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️.

I know weekends are hard but I also know that its hard to feel like crap all the time. Its hard not feeling confident in your own skin. Its hard to dress up and not like the way your clothes look on you. Its hard when you go shopping and nothing fits. Its so so hard when you look at pictures of yourself and you don’t like what you see.... so pick your hard!

I got tired of feeling like that so I decided to change my habits. these days I am feeling great and I know its because I am waking up early and working out.. even on the weekends. Everyone deserves a little flexibility with their lives. I won’t beat myself up about it because I know I didn’t derail all my hard work. 
Drinking tons of water today and got my workout in! Superfoods are already in my body working hard!

Do what YOU LOVE! For me, it’s strength training AND cardio... I went cold turkey on cardio and hit just the weights and although the results were much faster, I missed the cardio way too much! Yes, cardio can slow the muscle growth process down, but for me, I love to have that extra fat burn😊 I love to get my heart rate pumping more than what it does with just lifting, so keeping cardio in my daily routine, keeps me happy! Currently I lift four days a week with some cardio on each of those days and then I do one big cardio day at mid week (usually Wednesday). For me that’s a happy balance, since I love both! I just encourage anyone to do what YOU LOVE when it comes to fitness! Though my 2017 started with a little more adversity than I had expected, I am glad it did because it helped me finish the year strong. Right now I want to take the time to reflect and plan next year. Often people wait until January 1st to start with their New Years resolution, but you can’t expect to go from 0-100, at least I know I can’t.
