My husband saw this in the fridge and legitimately asked me if it was a hot dog. Close...but not quite 🤷🏼♀️☺️ It’s actually a stuffed sweet potato — homemade beet hummus, @cedarsfoods tahini, chopped green onion, and black sesame seeds. SO GOOD. Reframe Overwhelm 🤷🏻♀️
If you’re like me, you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed by all the things that need to be done before the holidays (um, hello there too Mercury retrograde 👀). Though and a lot of times, the only pressure that I’m under is the pressure that I put on myself. Last night, I decided that this was enough. I’ve been working incredibly hard with doing multiple jobs at once and sometimes when I'm stressed out, I forget the reason why I’m doing it in the first place. Realizing I was in this space, I put myself together last night and wrote and wrote. I wrote a powerful collection of wishes, dreams and moments of joy I want to experience in my life. Not just a bucket list but more of a collection of things I’d love to do more often. It helps me get excited about life rather than cringing about tackling the next thing that I ought to do but haven’t quite gotten around to. It reminds me why I am doing what I am doing and that makes me feel much less overwhelmed. . .
If you’ve been powering through to reach a goal and you’ve lost your passion on the way, reconnect with your liveliness to discover your why.

A father of 2, husband for almost 10 years and ex-collegiate athlete he had hit his rock-bottom. Convenience eating, stress overload and little sleep at night was wreaking havoc on his body and his health. .
At 50 pounds overweight he contacted us looking for a simple, convenient nutrition plan that would match his busy lifestyle as a business owner and also provide a solution to release the weight that continued to rise.

Juggling work, family, your appointment at the DMV and maybe your phobia of public restrooms…Sometimes peeing just gets pushed down the to-do list 🚽⬇️
🔹But constantly holding it in can weaken your bladder muscles, which could lead to urinary retention - the dreaded condition that prevents you from fully voiding your bladder when you pee, which in turn makes you feel like peeing all the time.
🔹And you can just imagine how stagnant fluid creates an ideal environment for an infection to develop...
🔸Don’t go "Just In Case” either! If you find yourself peeing for less than 8 seconds, you probably didn’t really have to go.
🔸Going ‘just in case” before a long car trip is understandable, but making this a habit can actually train your bladder to send urge signals at the first signs of filling instead of regular capacity (about 2 cups). This can also weaken your bladder muscles over time.
✅Use the bathroom at least once every 4 to 6 hours, and about every 3 hours if you're prone to UTIs.

Decided to get a little more serious and dedicated to counting my calories and staying on track with my healthy eating before Christmas. I traded in toast and butter for some cheddar rice cakes - 2 rice cakes = less calories than 1 slice of toast. Here’s to dropping a few stubborn pounds before Christmas 🥂
What tips/tricks does everyone have for cutting calories / trying to eat healthy in between holidays?! I know it’s hard but I feel like a couple weeks of really being strict will pay off and be so worth it when you’re enjoying that Christmas dinner & cookies .... am I right?
